    The slim design and power light are a real plus over the OEM charger, yes, it is longer and wider, but I've always found it easier to fit slim things when I pack. The "BUT" for me is that the OEM has a flexible strain relief where the cord to the Surface Pro comes out of the charger, he hard plastic on this will be a strain point and could lead to internal damage and it is not replaceable. Also, why is the plastic block for the wall plug larger than the OEM? Both are smooth blocks that should indents to facilitate removing the plug from the outlet, as it is both encourage the dangerous pulling the plug out by grabbing the cord. NEVER do that.
    As I have just recieved the unit, I can't speak to longevity, however, so far I am happy with the purchase.

Sadly, only after 4 months of having the product it failed.
