This fit perfectly on my 2012 Cub Cadet LTX 1040 with the 19HP Kohler Courage engine. I really had my doubts if it would be any good considering the low price. To my amazement, the engine started the very first time I tried and has run flawlessly since then. I did not need to adjust a single thing. I've only put six hours on it since I installed it, but I think it's going to be a winner. The carb is not an exact replica of the Nikki carb it replaced (see pictures), but it works just as well. I'm glad it came with the wire harness for the built in fuel shut off solenoid, mine had melted when the mower caught on fire. (Fire story below) That's actually the only reason I ordered the carb, a replacement solenoid is about 5x the price of this carb. The wire harness included the female end of the plug that needs to be crimped on to the factory harness (see pictures). Last thing to note, don't take the black plastic carb spacer off, doing so will wreck the gasket which is not included in the kit. There's no need to take the spacer off, so no need for them to supply a gasket in the kit. I had to run to the parts store and get a roll of gasket material and make the gasket from scratch.
So, why did my mower catch fire you ask? The muffler split in half, right on the seam where the two halves were crimped together. The hot exhaust finally caught the carb on fire, melted the aforementioned wire harness as well as the lower part of the hood. If you think your 10 year old mower is getting a bit loud, I suggest you check out our sooner than later.
