I bought these speaker wires to replace some older speaker wires. The ends slid into my receiver and speaker connections easily. I like the quality of the braded speaker cable housing. The only issue I had was that one of the caps of the banana plugs was loose, so I tightened it. My audio system is working well, and I have had no issues with the sound quality. I tried to buy some more for my 7.2 speaker system, because I liked the first ones so well; however, they are out of stock on the length that I need. I would recommend this speaker wire.

I first purchased a shorter set of these in white and now bought another, longer set in black. Quality product. The banana plugs make connecting SO much easier than stripping/threading wires and the braided cables are really beautiful! Seeing these running along your floor is so much nicer than old-school speaker wire.

Two main reasons I bought these: 1) style, I really like the cool braiding on the wire housing 2) price, it would be easy to spend the same amount of money on gold-plated banana plugs alone from a big brand name.

However I'm not too enthusiastic about their long term reliability. Shortly after routing them through the base of my speaker stands I noticed the braided nylon on the outside was already frayed in spots from the exercise. Normally such a braided treatment is for enhanced durability. With these it seems to be purely aesthetic. Overall assembly quality seems lacking, not all of the caps were properly secured, and I probably should've also double checked the wire retaining screws were also snug and secure before installing these wires.

OVERALL, for the price they're a pretty good deal. Just be gentle with them and double check the fitment of the plugs.

Used these for Stereo speaker interconnects. They're well made, visually attractive, and sound as expected. You do need to put some extra effort into pushing the male connector in, but that tell me they will stay tight longer than lesser quality banana jacks.

Much Improved Sound With The Cables

While arranging my sound system I discovered that the speaker cables were now too short so I needed either an extension or a new longer one. I opted for the 10 ft. Gear It cables. I had been listening to some music when it was delivered. So I removed the existing cables with the longer white cables that matched my speakers. When I turned the system back on I was immediately surprised on how the music sounded so much better. I did'n't expect a sound difference but these cables delivered and are of very good quality and at a reasonable price. Very pleased with this product.

They work as expected for sure. The only issue I have is the ring that the casing screws down or up from is poorly put together and it does not let you screw it down far enough so there's no gap between the portion of the male plug that doesn't go all the way in to whatever you have it plugged into. In my case both the receiver and the speakers I've used these for have a big gap that is between the plug and the metal ring.
Lastly there is nothing there under this outer metal casing that keeps the wires from being exposed. So when you plug your banana cord in and screw the outer casing down (if there's not a big gap and the outer casing runs out of threads and just falls down) there's open wires right there and just gives a really cheap look and feel for the cables. You'd think a tiny, 1inch of rubber to go over this section wouldn't be too hard to do. It definitely make it a 4 star and by adding a longer more stable piece with more threads on that outer casing, then it be a 5 star. But as is its a 3 star decent cable that works. Just do not pull from anywhere but the metal casing when unplugging.
