Unpacking, first thing I did (because con 1, no instructions), I put on the keypad cover. At least I think I put it on. No instructions and looks like it could fall off any second. Just hope it doesn't happen in a board meeting.
Next, the screen protector. What a nice thing to include! They should not have bothered and taken $5-10 off the selling price. This was worse than any screen protector I have ever used, even Dollar Tree is better. Unless you like popping bubbles. No, I am not a screen protector application noob. I used a card and all the usual precautions This was the worse screen protector I have ever seen. After I was tired of popping bubbles and reapplying, I went to remove the so-called protective cover for the screen protector and doing so promptly removed the whole screen protector. So it is in the trash, because I don't think they want me to send it back to them. $5-10 down the toilet already.
My focus turned to the package that was tightly wrapped with the base and cover for the notebook. They felt very lightweight and junky quality plastic. I was correct on that assumption. Probably something that could have sold for $5 total. Anyway, again no instructions, I figured out which way the flimsy base should go. Some of the edges were razor sharp. Beware! I persisted, angry by now. It eventually snapped on, and I doubted such flimsy plastic (you can almost see through the base) would hurt my notebook.
On to the decorative cover. I was sure by now that something good would come out of this purchase. I was wrong. Upon unwrapping this, another flimsy piece of plastic, I was horrified that the deorative top felt dirty and there were little ticks or, I don't know how to describe them, little areas in the design that probably should have been sanded. Not my job! I don't know whether to clean the top or try to rub it down or pick at it till these non-smooth areas go away. I'm not complaining about being able to feel a design. I'm talking about a bad paint job like where they lift the nozzle of the paint and there's a blip and nobody bothers to remove it, and when you run your hand across it, you feel a nub, a sharp nub. And, there are multiples of these. Like ticks in your panty hose. Get the idea now?
As if I could not be more disappointed by now (as I swore to myself to remove the other designs from this merchant from my Amazon Wish List immediately), there was a little bag with port covers. I thought to myself, yes, this will be nice. Well, it wasn't. Most did not fit and there was an extra one leaving me to wonder what it was for, and why they could not have bothered adding a second screen protector knowing they were sending the absolute lowest quality products.
Surely can't return these now, and hope I don't get laughed out of my board meeting this month.
