Rediculously Good Deal... So Far
10/26/19 -1300 mile update - I've moved my riding indoors to a smart trainer, but up to this point, I have 1300 plus miles on these wheels with zero problems. They are still true, bearings spin nice, freehub still going strong, brake tracks are fine. I can't recommend these wheels enough. Hopefully this will continue into next season! They are as good or better then any other wheelset I've rolled on over the past 30 years of riding road bikes.07/12/19 - 500 mile update - Did a thorough inspection, they are still dead true and spin smooth. I have done some very hard stops on these and the brake tracks are still looking good and are not showing any signs of wear. After 500 miles I still can't recommend these things enough. They are the real deal. WIll update again at 1000 miles.06/05/19 - 100 mile update - The wheels are still rolling true and have been issue free. They have improved my overall speed by close to 1.5mph. They will blow you around a bit in a very heavy crosswind but nothing thats severe enough to cause a loss of control. As others have stated, they do have a unique almost humming sound at speed. I assume this is due to the design of the rim acting almost like a drum, it amplifies road noise from the tires. Will update again after 500 miles.05/27/19 - I purchased these wheels, which, as it turns out, are Superteam 23mm wide 50mm depth and came with the Powerway R13 hubs, which are supposedly a bit better then the Novatecs from what I've read. The box arrived in perfect condition and both wheels looked great. All included bits were packed neatly in another little box.Tires mounted easily, and I recommend using 80mm valve tubes. I didn't have any (ordered some) so I used normal 48mm tubes and used the included valve extenders. Protip: When installing the extenders, it is necessary to wrap the threads of the valve where the extender screws on with plumbers tape to seal the extender to the valve. If you don't, you will never be able to fill the tire because the air will blow past the extender where it attaches to the valve.Anyway everything mounted up great, no clearance issues with my bike, installed the included brake pads and off I went on a 30 mile shake down ride.First thing I noticed was these wheels are stiff! In a good way. I am 250 pounds, and they do not wag at all even under some pretty hard climb efforts and a few standing sprints. They also feel like they absorb road chatter better than my old wheelset did, although that could be due to the wider rim allowing my 25c tire to fatten up a bit.I was curious if they would blow me around a bit in a cross breeze being they are 50mm and I was coming from a 28mm rim, but I never noticed anything crazy. One odd thing I noticed, they are 200 grams lighter than my old wheelset (Neuvation M28 aeros) but they feel a bit more sluggish on sprints then the lower profile wheels. This may be due to the higher profile, or who knows, maybe it was my imagination, or that I was riding on tired legs. I do know that on a windy windy day, I was able to add about half a mph speed from my last ride on the same route under better conditions, so I am optimistic that they will only help my speed.Anyway after initial assembly and ride I have to say that these wheels are an insanely good deal for the money. I did a ton of research and I, like everyone else, was hesitant about buying Chinese made carbon wheels, but a lot of the research pointed me to the fact that most all of these rims are made in the same factories as their higher end counterparts. I also saw that the positive reviews FAR exceeded the negatives on both Amazon, Ebay and the countless cycling forums I visit. We all know that people with a negative experience are way more likely to post a review then someone with a positive. So I give these a solid 5 star rating... for now... We shall see how they handle the season, and I will give follow ups as I put more miles on them.

Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2018
Size: Shimano BodyVerified Purchase
This wheelset is an incredible upgrade to any roadbike currently rolling on factory OEM alloy wheels. I was blown away by the difference after my first ride of 8 miles on these wheels.

As I suspected, these seem to be the same as the "Superteam" carbon wheelsets also sold on Amazon by Queen Bike, without the branding on the rims. The included documentation and parts box displayed the "Superteam" logo. The reason I'm pointing this out is that the unbranded Queen Bike wheel set is like $50 cheaper than the "Superteam" wheelset as of this writing.

Installation was not too tricky, but I did have a local bike ship calibrate my brakes and deraileur after I changed out the brake pads for the included carbon-specific pads. The innertube kept wanting to get between the inner part of the rim and the tire right where the valve stem is. I had to keep deflating and pushing the offending part of the innertube back down. This is not a defect of the Queen Bike carbon wheelset, it is just a challenge of installing tires with tubes inside a narrow clincher rim. You'll want to watch for this as it will manifest as a bulge in the tire right above the valve stem section.

The precision and quality of this wheelset seems good. My only concern is the hub 'looks' chintzy on front and back. Time will tell how durable the hubs are and the bearings inside. If I order another set of these, I would probably reach out to Queen Bike and try to get the 'ceramic bearing hub' I see referenced in some of the reviews on the Superteam packages.

Finally, here's why this is an incredible upgrade-- lightness and speed at a reasonable cost. I don't have the equipment to weigh the difference between my factory OEM wheelset and the Queen Bike wheelset, but my bike 'feels' lighter with the carbon wheels. I checked my average speed after my first 8 mile ride and the average was 12 mph. This is up from an average on this same route of around 10 mph. I was astonished at this difference because I didn't notice myself riding faster. This is a 20% increase in speed! I will continue to track this metric across the next several weeks and update this review if that number turns out to be a fluke. But seriously, $350 for a 20% increase in riding speed is a crazy good deal.

UPDATE 4/15/2018: I've now put down 225 miles on these wheels. I am still very pleased with them. My only area of concern has been the bundled brake pads. I don't think they are especially durable and have already bought a back-up set of Swiss Stop, though I have not mounted them as I am planning to completely wear down these OEM pads and then switch to the Swiss Stop. I do not notice any squeal from these pads, so my only concern is they are just pretty soft and seem like they will wear down quickly. Not a big enough concern, however, for me to deduct a star as this overall product is terrific at this price point.

UPDATE 9-17-2018- I replaced the brake pads that shipped with these wheels today as part of an overall bike tuneup. My new brake pads are the Swisstop (
Swisstop FlashPro (Shim/SRAM Road) Brake Pads ) FlashPro. Huge improvement on stopping power!! If you buy these wheels, I would encourage you to simply discard the brake pads in the box and order some Swisstop pads in parallel.

Not a big enough concern, however, for me to deduct a star as this overall product is terrific at this price point.

UPDATE 9-17-2018- I replaced the brake pads that shipped with these wheels today as part of an overall bike tuneup. My new brake pads are the Swisstop ([[ASIN:B009ZN36ZY Swisstop FlashPro (Shim/SRAM Road) Brake Pads]]) FlashPro. Huge improvement on stopping power!! If you buy these wheels, I would encourage you to simply discard the brake pads in the box and order some Swisstop pads in parallel.
