Very different from the manufacturer filter
I guess I'm conflicted. They fit very well, and they seem to get the job done. But my humidifier is going through water twice as fast as with the original filter. It's been a week, and I haven't seen the white residue of non evaporative humidifiers. So that's a win. As long as that doesn't happen, I'm satisfied! If it does happen, I'll update my review!

When I used the NON-blue lined filters, they seem to get mildew and mold much, much faster. The rate of water evaporation seemed excessive too. We switched to the blue lined ones here and it solved several problems. We do not have to change them out as often from the mildew/mold growth and it has slowed the evaporation rate down without negatively affecting our indoor humidity level. I'd recommend them.

We have one of the Honeywell Coolair humidifiers for our bedroom. Me and my wife both sleep better if the air has moisture in it. However we have water with alot of minerals in it, so cleaning a humidifier that uses heat to produce steam is a pain. We could use distilled water, but then I have to remember to get it and keep it stocked for the humidifier and thats not gonna happen.

So the air cooled works well, but we need to change the filters often as the paper filter are wet constantly and thus can get moldy or basically rot away if any water is left in the unit.

These replacements fit the bill perfectly, a nice thick paper-esque material to wick up the water and allows the fan to blow past it and carry moisture into the air. This 4 pack will last us most of the winter, might need one more, but its not bad. They fit perfectly and seem to work like a champ.
