    If you're into modding you car(s) this can be a great little piece of kit to have in your arsenal. Test radios, lights and even troubleshoot basic car electronics (older cars, do not try this with newer cars as their electronic systems are sensitive and sophisticated).

    I used it to test some aftermarket fog lights at the manufacturers recommend power requirements and to test my switch wiring before putting it in the car.

    A must have if you do anything electrical with your cars. No excuses.

    It does what it says for the most part. As one other review has noted, there is a funny behavior with the OCP that I have narrowed down on my unit a bit more:

    If the current (A) is set to about 0.12 to 0.14 or lower, the OCP triggers immediately when you turn on the output even if nothing is hooked up. It looks like there is some initial internal current flow in the measuring unit that triggers, you can even see it in the display for a moment before it zeros out. If you turn off OCP, turn on the output and wait for it to settle, and then turn on OCP, it is ok.

    This seems to not be an issue over 0.14 amps or so, which honestly is pretty small and won't even blow up an LED, but it is a little annoying. I triggered it only because I was practicing Ohm's law, doing the math, and wanted to see if I nailed it, so I had the OCP tolerance set really tight. (I'm *very* new to building circuits)

    Other than that, it seems to be a very useful and reasonably priced tool.

    I was excited to get this unit and liked its feel out of the box. The design and features too were appealing. I tuned it on an played with the current and voltage adjustments to get familiar with its operation. With no load on the unit, I pushed the output button, and the unit went dark. I found that the fuse had blown. Reading the reviews more carefully, I found that others had also experienced blown fuses for no good reason. If this happens often, it's a pain to have to replace physical fuses. Perhaps if the unit had a circuit breaker instead, I would be more forgiving. Based on the fact that about 10% of the reviewers have found similar problems, I feel that this power supply is not reliable enough for my electronics bench, so I am returning it for a refund. Now I'm shopping for an alternative.
