Where We Promise: A Fake Marriage Romance (Stone Riders MC Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,200 ratings

The Amazon best-selling series returns in this third installment of motorcycle club romance.
Book three will follow two new members of the Stone Riders MC, who have been thrust into suspense and are sure to steal your heart.

In a tangled mess of betrayal and chaos, I was moved almost overnight onto rival territory under the protection of the one man I never wanted to be a burden to.

Jameson King.

To keep me safe, he handed me a ring and told me I’d become his wife. It’s a marriage made of convenience, but there’s a thread of truth neither of us want to examine. The past we’re ignoring, the almost we could have had if our lives were different.

If I hadn’t chosen wrong.

I keep trying to convince myself it doesn’t matter, not when we hold hands or sleep in the same bed. Because Jameson has always held me at arm's length, and my ex is coming for me…we’re just biding our time before this all comes to a messy end.

This is where we promise to hold, honor, and cherish…but what are vows made from lies?

Jameson will stay long enough to ensure I’m safe, and then he’ll let me go, just like he always did before.

5/5 ⭐️3/5 🌶️Jameson and Penelope’s story was amazing. I love a pregnancy trope and this one had a little twist - it’s not his! This was my first book from this author and I loved it! The drama, the build, the spice, the tension - amazing. I wish I had read the others in this series first so I could have had a better idea of who was who but there was enough info that I didn’t feel lost. I loved the amount of past and present we got and when. Highly recommend. As always, check for TWs and happy reading!

I could not wait to read this book after few a short preview of it at the end of Where We Belong. I seriously could not wait to read Jamie and Pens story.

Every since the first time Penelope walked into the Chaos Kings club house at the age of 13 she has been obsessed with Jameson King. Jameson was equally obsessed but so was his so called best friend and club brother Luke. Penelope is becomes obsessed with Jamie but he pays her no mind as he has other things to focus on and he does not want the club life for Pen. Soon Luke and Pen become a item and it absolutely devastates Jamie who is now the president and Luke is his VP. Pen becomes pregnant with Lukes baby and he is far from happy about it. He starts messing around with the club ladies right in front of Pen and it absolutely wreaks her. Jamie realizes that he needs to get Pen out of the club and somewhere safe so he reaches out to the Stone Raiders MC and they agree to keep Pen and the baby she is carrying safe.

Jamie and Pen can not keep away from each other and soon Jamies convinces Pen to marry him so that she can be safe and protected. Their relationship soon becomes everything they both have wanted from the beginning and nothing will separate them now. The vows that they exchange at their wedding were so freaking cute. You see the devotion and the truth of their feelings toward one another come out.

With turmoil happening all around them Penelope and Jameson welcome Connor Mathias King into the world and it was so amazing. “You’re everything to me. You and Connor, we’re a family now.”

I am so excited and patiently waiting for the last book in the Stone Raiders Series following Natty and Silas the President of the Death Raiders MC.

I read this as a standalone, but I definitely recommend reading in order despite each book having a different couple. The over arching plot with the MCs is interconnected and major subject throughout this book. But despite that, I really enjoyed it. She preggo by a horrible man and has taken refuge with her childhood crush...right person wrong time. The angst and spice were excellent and lots of sweet moments. Check TWs

These two were EVERYTHING. I felt SO. MANY. THINGS. The pining between Jameson & Penelope, the tension, the protective nature, the sadness, the uncertainty, the LOVE. All. The. Feels. ⁣

This is the third book in the Stone Riders Motorcycle Club series and it may be my favorite in the series so far … and I’ve LOVED the first two. ⁣

Penelope is hiding out from her horrible baby daddy, Luke. He’s the Vice President of a rival motorcycle club that’s trying to stage a takeover - to which I say, oh hell no. Penelope is 8 months pregnant with Luke’s baby - even though she’s been in love with Jameson since they were teenagers. To protect her, Jameson claims her as his wife and her baby to be his.

The alternate timeline chapters were so heartbreaking but really added depth to the story. It was beautiful, transformative, absolved.

If you like…
💜 it’s always been you
💜 I avoided you to protect you, but couldn’t stay away
💜 when the MMC loves another man’s child as his own
💜 a touch of suspense and drama
💜 second, third, hundred chances - they finally get it right
💜 forced proximity
💜 marriage of convenience that was never fake for either of them

… then you’ll love this one as much as I did.

Scenes that live rent free in my mind:
💜 when Jameson helps Penelope for the first time 🥵
💜 the wedding & their vows
💜 the birthing scene/early stages of their newfound family
💜 Jameson dealing with Luke

When you get more than you could have ever asked for in a book, it becomes a fave of the author almost immediately. Jameson has always wanted one girl in his life and when he went to take his change, he realized it was too late. So, he stepped back and watched his best friend have the one that would have always gotten away. Penelope is in a situation she never thought she would be, pregnant by a man she thought was going to love her forever only to have him walk away after treating her like she never mattered. Jameson steps up as the club President to keep her safe and a marriage of convenience happens for her protection. That is what everyone believes, but for Jamie it is having his one girl even if it is fake. What we are given in WWP, is watching two people not knowing that the other has always been the one and once they realize it, everyone better be ready to step back and just support the two of them because they don’t care who is in the path it will always be them against everything else. I wanted to yell at Jamie for being so slow to react and tell Penelope how he feels, but he truly believes that she chose Luke over him because she always wanted Luke. I adored Penelope for the sole reason that she just wanted to be loved and wanted and the one best friend that she thought was that person turned out she was right. We get some suspense and time with Killian and Wes as they help Jamie and his MC. There is so much that happens that you just want to keep reading until even after the last page.

Another great book for the Stone Riders. While it was frustrating that it took so long for Penelope and Jaime to get together, it was a beautiful story to read. I can’t wait for Silas and Nattys sorry.

“ You’re the only thing there that feels like home.”

Oh Jameson/Jamie, I knew you were going to have me swooning. As President of the Chaos Kings he is left reeling when he is betrayed by Luke, is Vice President, and several members of his club.
He has no choice to leave to protect the only woman he has ever cared for, Penelope, who is pregnant with Luke’s baby.

“ I want a life full of laughter and smiles. “

Penelope couldn’t prepare herself after she is abandoned, humiliated and shamed by the club that was suppose to protect her. When the situation gets dangerous for her and her unborn baby, Jameson steps in and gets them out of there. This has them seeking help from the Stone Ridge MC.

“ He was warm sunshine on a lazy summer day. He was peace. My peace. “

Although that doesn’t stop the situation all together so they do something a little drastic, they get married. These two were childhood friends and Pen always had feelings for Jamie. After years of pining, she had to let him go for a chance at happiness.

“You taste like you’re finally mine.”

What she doesn’t know if that Jamie has been harbouring feelings just as long and see this as a chance to prove that they are meant to be together. This story was so heart warming and gut wrenching at the same time. These two go through a journey but I loved going along for the ride.

“ You can use me however you want, baby. “

I loved returning to this town and catching up with past characters. I loved watching Penelope bond with the other ladies and receive the support she deserves. Now I’m counting down the days for Natty and Silas’ book.

I must admit I was hoping for Silas and Natty's story, but this was full of angst and longing between two characters who had been at cross purposes for years with both of them in love with each other without the other one knowing. It isn't long before their fake marriage turns very real and Jameson becomes the ultimate protector.

Ahh this two. Been patiently waiting for Jamieson and penelope's story and finally. 😍 Their road to HEA is not an easy one. Jamie walking on eggshells around her, Pen always doubting those feelings. Jamie wants Pen to live outside the club and do what makes her happy. Jamie's life will always be the MC and he hated that it will be her only option when he will pursue her. And that is his sacrifice to make. Until she came back and be with Luke. My heart goes through roller coaster with this one. But the spice 🔥 🥵. A dirty mouth Jamie is one done deal. 🤭

I really liked this book. The plot got pretty intense around the motorcycle club tension development and I enjoyed that, combined with the love story. This is weird but I wish the details about birth and post partum were a bit more realistic. It took away from the story for me that she was getting her period one week after giving birth (huh?) and some other details around birth and post partum recovery that felt a bit silly and unresearched. Overall a good read though and have enjoyed this series.
