Install was easy, had to double up 1/2" spacers so the magnets would clear the windows in my 04 Ram doors, all part of installing aftermarket speakers. I am running an older Kicker ZX 100w/ch RMS amplifier on them. The same amp was running my 20yr old Boston Acoustic 6 x 9's that were sounding tired and the tweeters crapped out years ago. I had to turn the gain up well over a quarter turn from the previous setting to get the same volume out of these vs the old Bostons, and they don't have the warm sound I had before (old Bostons are hard to beat for sound quality). They do however, handle the power much better, produce MUCH more bass (dropped the crossover to 70hz vs 90hz I had the Bostons set at), and with some crossover and eq fine tuning I was able to get real close to the same sound, so I am not totally disappointed. I am actually impressed how well they play the lower frequencies without distortion, they just require more power to do so.
All in all I am satisfied, and happy with the purchase. These are not as efficient as the specs lead you to believe, but with some audio adjustments, they prove to be a really good speaker.
UPDATE:
nearly a year later, still going strong. They have actually broken well and the sound has warmed up a bit from my initial review. Still very happy with the purchase, and quality of these speakers. Even sold my brother on a pair after he heard them in my truck. Also of note, I thought I had a 100w/ch amp running them, and realized I upgraded that amp some time ago with the 150w/ch version. These babies ROCK!

2021 Chevy 2500 front doors.
Installed these into the front doors of 2021 Chevy 2500 and the sound quality has considerably improved. Just running them off the original Head Unit. No amp. Install was easy, especially with the plug and play connection wires specifically for late GM vehicles. The sound is bright and the detail is better. They actually have a little bass to them as well. Get the warranty Amazon offers if your reading any horror stories about manufacturers warranty problems. I did. Best $10 warranty ever. These sound is awesome on these speakers - PERIOD!
