Connecting to my computer and downloading my music library was quick and easy, and I was able to download my entire music library with room to spare. I had a concern that there was a compatibility issue with some of the files, because they didn't appear on the player immediately after downloading them. However, the player had given me a notice after I disconnected from the computer that it was "scanning files". Apparently it was creating an internal index of some type, because eventually all of my music showed up. The player connected quickly to the Bluetooth adapter on the stereo, and played without any dropouts. The built-in speaker on the player is surprisingly loud and clear, and the player even comes with earbuds, although I admit I haven't used them so I can't comment on their sound.
The controls on the player are easy to use, and the screen is sharp and legible despite its small size. The only reason didn't give it 5 stars on the interface is because it can be tedious to select an artist or album. You have to use a scroll wheel as in the classic Apple iPods, and if you have a large music library, it can take several minutes to scroll down to the end. I understand that's a compromise for not having a touch screen interface, but even allowing the use of the up and down arrows on the scroll wheel might make it easier to scroll through the listing.
I'm happy with this player and would recommend it to anyone who wants a low-cost unit.
This device is running on a heavily modified version of Android. The app launcher, Google Play store, and services are missing, which is good because there's no Play Store. Unfortunately, the manufacturer didn't remove the default Android folders, making navigating when loading files a little more confusing. For example, there is a video folder but no video player on the device. There's also a podcast folder, but the player treats that folder just like music, which is annoying because you won't want to listen to podcasts when you intend to shuffle all of your music. The other folders shouldn't be there because they don't make sense.
The included headphones are just meh. They are better than dollar store headphones, but you can purchase a cheap pair from Fiio for about $20 that sound much better. I recommend you keep them as a backup in case your good pair is lost or broken.
The USB C connector is nice to have but could be better. It uses USB 2.0 specs, with speeds of around 20 MB/sec. If they had included a 3.0+ spec, the transfer rate would be about 10x faster. The port is also very picky about the cable you use. I have some high-quality USB C to USB C cables that the device refuses to recognize. You must either use the included cable or roll the dice looking for a USB A to USB C cable that works. I tried a cheap one from Ali Express, and it kept dropping the connection during the transfer.
I don't know what's going on with this company. These were actively sold in February 2024, but the website appears to be gone, and the Facebook page is invite-only, so I wonder if it is still operational. That means you should expect little support to be available. Because this uses Android, there's some hope that the community could provide software updates to fix issues like creating a better way of listening to Podcasts without co-mingling with your music files. And there's no reason a video play doesn't exist on this. Community programmers could probably add support for DSD files, and I also suspect they could add support for USB C DACs because they don't need much bandwidth. If both happen, you'd have a great and affordable Hi-Res player.
Overall, I do recommend this as is. Phone batteries tend not to last long, and they are very fragile. This player is cheap, holds a lot of music files, and the click wheel has always been a good input method. But this biggest pro is that you'd be much less upset if you dropped or damaged this or if it were lost or stolen versus a $700-$2,000 phone.
This player does both very well.
It allows adding bookmarks easily. It also remembers the position of the last file you listened to. If you click forward or back for a previous file or subsequent file, you can return to the first file and the player resumes playing where you were.
If you turn the player off, you can resume playing the file from the last position also.
The only negative thing I can say is about the display. It's large and bright indoors but it is unreadable in direct or indirect sunlight. You will have to move to a shady spot to read it if you're outdoors.
Also, they crammed too much information onto the screen so all the details are very small. If you don't have perfect eyesight, you will need reading glasses to see the text clearly for the currently playing track.
You need to put both audio books and podcasts in the existing audiobooks folder to get the bookmarking and resume features for your mp3's.
The player looks nice and the functions are pretty easy to learn. You will need to read the manual for details but it's very easy when you know what to do.
There is no clip with the device. I added a "Nite Ize HipClip Lightweight Stainless Steel clip" to it which is a near-perfect combination. The player is lighter than I anticipated so it doesn't drag down my pocket or waist band when clipped on.
The price seems very reasonable for what it can do. I tried some cheaper players that have bookmarking but they have complicated and confusing menus. The menu on this player is more linear and easier to navigate.
I highly recommend this player.
Top reviews from other countries
At the end of the day, it's not much more than a shuffle player. Even if you create playlists, it doesn't allow you to choose the order beyond alphabetical (that is, neither by artist, nor by album, nor genre), it is obscenely difficult (if not impossible) to enter metadata for the songs (most of your songs will go under "unknown artist"), and outside of the physical resemblance to the iPod, there are better and much cheaper options for the same thing. It has good audio quality and the battery is long lasting, but I don't recommend it at all if what you want is to have order in your music library.

- Sound:
With the included wired buds, the sound is okay although it will not reach super high volume but then that make it safe for the ears. I did try with higher end wire buds and there was an improvement especially around low frequency, so tell me the device is capable more than the included buds. Using Bluetooth headset work as good and of course while using MP3 like format there is nearly no different but because of how Bluetooth operate then of course uncompressed format would sound better while wired.
There is a large selection of equalizer to help reach something closer to what one’s like. If using MP3 of highest VBR quality it does a good join. Of course, purist that have used much higher quality DAC will see the difference and it does not reach the level of Fiio, iBasso and the like. But if used in sports or noisy environment there is a lot less distinction of those and MP3 will always sound less than uncompressed FLAC/Wav. Speaking of which there would be a slightly different while using uncompressed format but not wow factor. Therefore, sticking to MP3, OGG, & WMA for example with this device is fine.\
- Operation:
Turned on by holding the center button would take about 10 seconds to be ready. Once started the ‘wheel’ allow navigation while the center button act as the select/enter. The top one act as the back when press once and contextual when held. For example, on a song holding it would allow to do action on the song such as delete, add to playlist etc. By default, movement and click have a beep but your can turn that off and instead use vibration as feedback which I found great. The main menu at starts up contain all the main area you would go to such as Now playing, music, Bluetooth, photos, FM radio, etc. Check the video I show all the options. Once in a sub-menu operation is the same and back to return one level back. Quite simple.
- Options:
In addition to playing music, you can do audiobook, show some photo, use the FM radio (with a wired headset or at least a cable in it as it is the antenna), can be paired with Bluetooth device such as headphones and speakers. There’s a quick shuffle option right in the menu if you want to do one but do not want to set the option for all listening. There is of course an option to always shuffle under Settings. The other settings available as timer for shutdown, shuffle on/off, repeat on/off, Equalizer, Sort By, Key lock, Key tone on/off, key vibration on/off, wallpaper, backlight delay, brightness, adjust date/time, language then clear cache, factory reset, and about for information tune device.
- Managing Files:
This MP3 connect to your computer using USB wire and will be in charge mode by default. Click the center button would switch to file transfer. Once connected on a PC, for example, it will show up as a drive letter. Therefore, you can use simple file management to transfer files onto it in their respective Music, photos, audiobook folder. Again, if you used Android those folder structure will be familiar. You can also use your favorite music program that way by making the appropriate configuration in it and that can be helpful to pre-generate playlist. There is 116Gb reporting on PC as available to you. The device does not detect file on a USB stick attached to its port, so only the internal memory is available. That is still a lot of music in MP3 format even if using highest quality setting or even CBR 320. But for those that like to carry their whole library or a lot of music that may be limited but if you just want a selection for a workout or a trip then that should cover it.
In final, I like the device as it reminds me of Sansa I used to love. I have a high quality DAC and when I just sit to relax and what maximum quality I would use that. But if I go for a 3k run or going on public transport, that device does perfectly well.
