Seriously, these things last for an eternity. Been using mine since I got it in 2018, still going strong six years later with no discernible difference in taste or cleanliness. And this is after my dad attempted to mangle the thing when he was doing dishes the first week we had it, leaving an inch and a half gash in the mesh. That gash is still precisely as intact as it was years ago, and the filter still works perfectly. I actually bought myself a spare just in case we get a nuclear apocalypse and the thing gets scratched or something.

My model: Cuisinart 14-cup with glass carafe. My filter basket measures 5 inches deep. Filter fits nicely at 3.75 inches. I could have saved $5 and bought a generic filter (or even a 2-pack), but a true Cuisinart filter carefully packaged is worth the money to me. The filter was properly cone-shaped in a protective labeled box (note that some generics come crushed down or mis-shapened) with a strong plastic handle that doesn't pop out like some noted on the generic cone filters. The netting is tight and keeps the grounds in the filter where they belong! Made a perfect pot of coffee and rinses out completely. It was the right purchase for a coffee snob! It will last a few years.
