I ordered this $100 Visa card at about 4:00pm and it arrived by 5:00pm an hour later. I went online and made an immediate purchase without registering it, calling anyone or doing anything. The CCV code was already exposed (it was never covered) and it was ready to use. This card comes live and can be used by anyone upon arrival.
I happen to like that feature (as long as it arrives safely), since I bought it specifically to order something online that is a subscription item and I didn't want to be charged again if it was difficult to cancel. This way they can only charge me up to the value of the card, and will not take a partial payment. I'm glad I didn't have to hassle with activating it. That would not be good if mis-delivered, but it wasn't.
I did call the customer service number after my purchase to see the balance and it was impossible to get any prompts or anyone on the phone. There was a litany of advertisements about medical alert necklaces, and other such sales pitches and when I said no enough, the line hung up. I then went to the website on the card and using the card information, the balance was displayed and the purchase had gone through. It did not ask me any questions as I had not registered, nor did I see any reason to. I hadn't seen the website at first, or I would have just gone there, but I thought the phone would offer a menu of services, but it didn't. Since I didn't need customer service, I can't take off for not getting any.
I didn't see any other options for cards of this denomination. Since I had a great experience, I would not need another source for my next card when I need one.
