I have wanted a kitchen scale for years. I have some European cookbooks and they prefer measuring some things by weight. This is perfect for me. It's a slim, manageable size and I like that I can set a tare weight instead of dealing with a set that includes its own bowl. It stores away in a drawer, or I can just lean it up against the wall if I'm using it a lot, without losing counter space. I really like the way the surface doesn't show fingerprints, and it's sooo easy to clean. I just wipe it off and I'm done. It uses just one battery, and since it's not on for very long, I imagine that battery will hold me for quite a while. I'm pretty darned happy with the thing.
