I will start straight off the bat with the statement that this book was magnificent!

The way it was written aside (which is generally a personal preference) I found that this is an important book for any lore lover to have on their shelf. Especially as a horde played I enjoyed to find out about Thrall's earlier life and the re-uniting of the clans. The novel itself was fairly short however it is packed full of events from page one. Any WoW lore lover will enjoy this book for its importance in the history of the Horde and the orcs. Anyone who doesn't really follow the lore will still enjoy this novel and even a few Alliance players may enjoy the insight into "The Other Side's" background.

All in all a great read 10/10!

I don't usually read books like this but I played the game and enjoyed the story lines in the game. I love this book. I have 3 kids and if 2 of them were not under the age of 4 I would have finished it a lot sooner. The story is amaxing! So much better reading from this book then when in the game World of Warcraft. I would definitely recommend that if you are a fan of the game to read this book!

You get to see the history of Thrall, his upbringings, and the events that shaped his life. For anyone who was ever interested in the Durnholde Keep quest in World of Warcraft, this shows you the depth in the story. Very enjoyable and a solid flow in the way the tale is written. A must read for any Warcraft lore enthusiast.

This story follows Thrall infant to leader. I read this after reading Rise of the Horde, both of which are excellent reads. Christie is hands down the best wow writer, and I'll continue to read all of her work for Warcraft.

If you like wow lore, you'll love this as this story is touched on but never fully told in game.
