I have owned several waffel makers and have been disappointed in most of them. The Oster flip waffle maker is a good exception. Here are the pros and cons
Pros:
1.reasonably priced
2. makes very thick Belgian waffles
3. The lights actually are accurate indicators of doneness
4. The coating is truely non-stick
5. it cooks the waffles quickly
cons:
1. actually I have not found any cons to this waffle maker
summary: If you want a waffle maker that makes good Belgian style waffles at a reasonable price I would highly recomment this one.

Cooks the waffle fine if it's in the highest heat setting, but a huge pain to try and clean, and I'm not confident in how long it will last, was going to return but seller wants me to pay return postage so I guess I'm keeping it and hoping it will hold up for a while
