Very Cool - My Son Loves it!
My son has been training with a wood or a resin Katana for several years now, and so I bought him this real one! He really loves it and had nothing but good things to say about it. The weight and balance is good, it is sharp and sliced through a water bottle very easily, and came with a nice hard cover. It also includes a dust bag and a storage box, both of which are very pretty. Overall, I was pleased with the purchase and would recommend.

The Good:
-Metal tsuka cap and tsuba
-Full tang
-Quality sword steel (actually claims type)
-Comes with box and wrap
The OK:
-Well finished wood scabbard (needs broken in for easier release of sword)
-Poly rope and base layer of tsuka (they work fine but just aren’t as nice as other options)
-No metal layering details (it’s a functional sword so fine details on the blade aren’t necessary but they do make it look better)
The Bad:
-Nothing

This Katana is one of the better models I’ve seen, the case and wrap that are included are really top notch. The wood scabbard is well finished but has the usual need for breaking in on lower price range swords. They claim the steel as t10 which is an excellent sword making steel. It claims to be fully functional and cuts great out of the box. It’s clearly full tang and you can see wood plugs for removing the handle. The tsuba and tsuka cap are both metal and distressed, appear to possibly be brass. Tsuka is wrapped in poly cord with a poly base layer, this is fairly average but there are nicer options out there. For the current listed price this is really an excellent value for a functional sword. I’d highly recommend considering this katana if you’re in the market.

That it comes with a gift box and a sword pouch was an absolute steal for $59.99. It’s currently (3-28-24), $119.99, which I think is still a good bargain when compared with other swords selling for the same price. They should raise the price to give you a stand.

I am pleased with this sword for the price. I am certainly no expert, just a guy that thought it would be cool to own a sword. This is the first sword I have ever purchased, but I am an avid knife collector, so I am familiar with blades at least (in smaller form). Sword came with a nice sharp edge and heavily oiled to prevent corrosion along the way to the USA. Presentation was very nice, and overall I am very impressed with the quality of this sword for the price. I realize this is not a "real" Katana sword, and didn't expect that going in. Some of the pictures show a wooden stand, but none is included. It does include a nice clasped case with foam padding to protect the sword. Furthermore, the sword was in a cloth bag keeping this sword in perfect condition on arrival.

This is a pretty great looking sword, with real heft, and a real edge. You won't be taking out the shogunate with it, but you could honestly do worse if you did need to actually wield a blade! I just want to encourage you to read what is and is not included: the stand you see in the picture is NOT included, however you do get a case for it as well as a pouch, both of fair enough quality.

I'll be honest, the second this arrived in the mail I had the kid throw some bananas at me to chop, and it performed valiantly. It's a great little shelf piece, just make sure to provide your own stand.

Overall I am fairly happy with this sword except for one major detail. The handle and the hilt don't really match the sheath. The sheath has this sparkling Sapphire ish rainbow color and design that reflects beautifully in the light. But then you have a handle that is just wrapped with black thread and just looks very basic and doesn't compliment the sheathe at all. The sheath looks really nice and it's beautifully designed and of course it's not a real sheath because it just feels like cheap wood that is painted over and glossed over and it's nothing heavy like a real but still very well designed and looks great. The sword also comes with a sort of chest with three Clips to secure the lock the temp hours so it is pretty well kept and stored and organized.
Overall it is the sheath that makes this sword very appealing but the sword itself just looks very basic with no major attractive design. I think that they could have made the handle look a lot more exotic and that would have made the sword look over all more attractive. The blade comes greased already and is fairly Sharp so you know that if you store it away in a collection or on the Shelf then it won't rust.
