I do a lot of work at night in a relatively dimly lit home office and although I am a reasonably experienced keyboarder (formally known as a typist), I still need to search for the seldom used keys and symbols. I was looking on Amazon for a keyboard with more legible nomenclature when I ran across this one that not only had larger nomenclature but was also backlit. I had used wireless keyboards for years, but having a wired unit is not a problem with a stationary desk computer. I fell in love with this keyboard out of the box. It is full sized and has a nice feel, is relatively quiet and has almost every feature I have ever seen on any keyboard. The frosting on the cake, however, is the adjustable backlighting which makes it totally functional in a completely dark room. A great feature of the backlighted keys is that the nomenclature is molded into each key and will never wear off as with screen printed keys.

I now have 2 of these keyboards because as soon as my wife saw it, she had to have one as well. I think that backlighted keyboards are sort of like heated seats and steering wheels in cars in that they seem like a gimmick at first, but once you use them you will never get a new car without them.

I love this keyboard. The size of the letters are good and make it easier for my older eyes to see. The backlight is nice and strong, but not too bright. The action on the keys could be a little faster but that's not a big deal. My only other complaint (and its more if a nitpick reall) is that there no way to control the backlight from the computer. There's a button on the keyboard that toggles the light on and off and that's it. No way to turn it down or up if needed, and no way to change the backlight color from plain white. That's not a huge deal for me, I think other colors might be annoying, but some might like that feature.

This keyboard was exactly what I needed. I’m 70 and not great with computers. I bought a powerful HP Laptop computer which I’m unhappy with. It has a thousand functions I’ll never use, but basic functions like saving, sending and retrieving documents is miserable. Additionally, the laptop keyboard is black and flat. It is ridiculously difficult to type on the laptop keyboard. This external keyboard has large illuminated letters making it very-very easy to use. It is an excellent product and exactly what I needed.

Key is missing from keyboard

I gave this to my 86yr old father for Christmas. He just opened it this morning. I was very disappointed to find it is missing a key! We hooked it up, and it works, he is able to read the keyboard much easier because of the enlarged font and the back lighting. But the missing key is so obvious! We double checked the packaging, but the key is just not there. Very disappointing!
Update: After writing my review I was contacted by the seller who responded quickly to my complaint. They were very helpful and offered to send what I assumed would be the missing key for the keyboard. Today, I received a new keyboard! I'm changing my review to 5 stars. First, my dad has been using the original keyboard and it has helped him so much, he has MD and seeing his keyboard has been a real challenge. This has made it much easier! I got this keyboard because of the back lighting and it did not disappoint. I had to buy a USB extender for the keyboard because for my desktop my tower computer sits a ways away but the keys have a nice spring and sometimes i do not k=need to turn on all the lights if my keyboard lights up I like it day 1

It's been maybe a month and the paint on the space bar is showing specks of light from wear. The other day I noticed that it kind of warbles so I'm going to need to put tape on one corner so it will be stable. It's bigger than normal , no complaints about that. Thin paint and it's like one leg is shorter so it wobbles. Not bad but it shouldn't wobble. I've had several keyboards and none wobbled. I like the big keys and lighted letters. But if the paint is already coming off the space bar. I suspect the rest of the keys are to follow.

It’s a nice keyboard and it’s easy to see but the two keys that are highlighted are the wrong way around. The @ and the “ keys are in the wrong places. I know where they are now but this is incredibly irritating if you press the @2 key you get “2 and the “ ‘ key you get @‘ this is really really annoying.

I am visually impaired and this is not what you need. It spoils what is a reasonably good keyboard but I would say it is also quite flimsy cheap plastic.

Key spacing is dreadful and sometimes almost unusable.
Keys rattle and you seem to have to make stabbing movement while typing.
I am sorry but this keyboard really is the worst backlit keyboard I have ever purchased,
the only redeeming feature is the backlight.
