This stuff is the bee's knees.
I'm pretty new to miniature assembly and painting, and all I can say is, this stuff is a delight to work with. Pop the top, breathe innnnnnasd jafakgh;ohz asfarg (JOKING, PLEASE WEAR PROPER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT IN A VENTILATED AREA), find the areas where the models will make contact, use the application brush to apply a thin layer, then push the models into place, hold firmly for about 20-30 seconds, blow on it if that makes you feel better, then release. It's good! You can apply another thin layer between the two pieces and hold again if you're afraid you didn't clean the adhesion sites as well as you think you did. This even works well with push-fit models, since those are prone to have little gaps even when you think you've pressed them in well enough; just apply a layer similarly to regular models and push HARDER, wait the same amount and then it's DEFINITELY gonna stay where you put it. With how thin this "cement" is, you can even take the brush to apply it to small gaps (it'll flow into the space between) and press the pieces together (push hard and hold!) and about 30 seconds later, the two pieces are effectively just one piece now. That's how this stuff works!Try to keep it off your digits, as your fingers and thumbs will leave fingerprint indentations into the model if they come in contact with the plastic while the cement is still active when you're holding the parts together. Try to use as little as you can get away with, and I can tell you this little bottle will easily carry you through hundreds and hundreds of miniature assemblies. The one part it's a bit dodgy on is applying miniature feet to the rough textured bases that come in Citadel kits; it's not a great seal and if you bang into the model in just the right way, it's probably gonna snap off. You could use superglue for that, but a pro tip would be to grab another bottle of this (that you're willing to "ruin"), find some safe storage for about a quarter of the bottle for run-off, and then CAREFULLY dissolve some sprue into the partial bottle of Thin Cement which will turn it sorta grey, making it "thicker" since it's got plastic goop in it, which you can then use to properly adhere the two differing plastics since there's more material to bond with. I'd do that for miniature-to-plastic bases. Any other bases and you're better off with superglue probably.Anyways, get this. Way better than superglue for miniature assembly, I'd wager.

I'm pretty sure most people buying this is because they build or want to build plastic miniatures. There's a reason Tamiya glue is so popular within the hobby-- it is easy to use, has that lovely thin brush, and doesn't make a mess.
There is a bit of a chemical smell, which is to be expected, and you should use this in an area that is at ventilated (or even just open a window).

I'd say I'd buy this again, but because the bottle is so big, and a little goes a LONG way, unless you're building tons and tons of minis, you should be fine for quite a while.

This is by far the best quality plastic model cement I’ve ever used. Very easy to apply with the applicator that’s included inside the cap. Excellent application onto thin surfaces where you don’t want globs of glue to overdo the job.

I’m new to the hobby and was recommended to get this brand to glue certain parts together to eliminate seam lines. I’m still developing my skills but despite leaving it to dry overnight, many of the parts fall off or come apart during assembly. It could be that I got a bad batch of product, or even that the models I’m working on are a little older so I wouldn’t discard it as bad. It’s better than no glue and it’s definitely easier to apply than E6000 adhesive. Mixed feelings in short, and I highly doubt the thousands of people recommending it are wrong. Maybe I just got unlucky.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the best plastic glue
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 14, 2024
If you ask almost any group of hobbyists about plastic glue, you'll probably get recommended this stuff for good reason. It's not as bad for fumes as some of the stronger stuff, and it won't melt details too badly if a little goes astray, but it will make a strong bond in seconds, and can even be used to smooth out joins and the like. It comes in a sturdy little glass pot that's thankfully hard to knock over, and with a little brush in the cap that makes it easy to apply. Obviously, try not to breathe in the fumes too much, and use it somewhere with decent ventilation if you can, or it may start to irritate your eyes and sinuses. If you get a bit on your hands, go wash them. Basically, be sensible and you'll be fine!

One pot will probably last most people years; I've used mine for the entire Horus Heresy Age of Darkness box (yes, including the big Spartan tank), plus a rhino and three jetbikes, the entire 40k Leviathan box, a box of Hellblasters and a box of Intercessors, several Underworlds Warbands, a vanguard box of Daughters of Khaine, other random stuff and I'm still only just over halfway through it! So you'll almost certainly get your money's worth!

5.0 out of 5 stars Super colle ciment pour modélisme (figurines wargame)
Reviewed in France on February 19, 2023
