You can use the scan button to pre-program a bunch of stations - mine loaded about 28 - not sure if there's a max. You can also force a station to be a certain program number, so if you want to put your favorites at the beginning. There's also a flashlight feature.

    I have to listen to this radio at full volume when using my head phones. I like that I can change batteries when needed. It has a metal front grill so construction isn’t bad. A bit bigger than my last radio I used when exercising. So far working consistently. Hope this radio lasts longer than my last.

    I really like the size of this pocket radio. It has a nice clip to attach to your side - except the antenna can easily get in your way if you are trying to listen to the radio. The quality of the unit itself appears to be solid. It also has a nice display and is easy to use. It would have been nice if the radio came with some headphones. The sound quality is somewhat poor - almost sounds like an old fashioned radio sound. I was thinking with today's technology it would have better sound and volume control. I would have considered 4 stars if the sound was better.

    I didn't think I was going to like this radio, because it doesn't really look like much, but it turns out to be a very good performer on all bands. Can't tell a book by its cover.

    Other than its radio functions, this radio has a clock, an alarm clock, a sleep timer, a lock button, a 3.5 mm headphone jack that outputs stereo on FM, and a flashlight.

    Now, onto the radio.

    This radio performs well and better than expected on all bands.

    On FM, I was able to get all radio stations in my area, whether strong or weak, with excellent sound (no static, at all).

    On AM, during the day and placed and oriented correctly, this radio could pick up the weakest stations in listenable sound. As a matter of fact, I am listening to a non-commercial AM radio station, 1410 KQV, whose transmitter is miles away in the far suburbs on the other side of the city (I am in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh and this transmitter is in the southern suburbs) transmitting at 5,000 watts. I easily catch this radio station with this radio, albeit with a bit of static, but still very listenable. This radio also gets a 10-watt (yes, ten watts) information radio station, 1670 WQIH, that is located some miles from my home. Now, there's lots of static with WQIH, but I can still hear and understand the output of the station. All this speaks to this radio's sensitivity.

    On SW, with the antenna extended, I can get at different times of the day the NIST time at 5, 10, 15, and 20 MHz. There are other stations I can get at various times, mostly consisting of religious and foreign language stations, simply using the radio's antenna fully extended. Most other radios are static from the top of their SW band to the bottom. I haven't yet tried a long-wire antenna, which could only improve the signal strength and increase the number of SW stations available.

    This radio overperforms at its price point. Now, it's not a high-end radio by any means but its performance for the price paid puts some manufacturers' radios that are long-in-the-tooth but are still being sold at 3X -5X the price of this radio.

    I like the white housing with rounded corners which reminds me of a soap bar and is comfortable to hold. The dimensions of the actual radio are 5-1/2in high x 2-3/4in wide x 1-5/16in deep.
    I am not in an area with a lot of radio stations nearby so the ability of a radio to work with a weak signal is the most important feature for me. Strong radio stations sound great on this radio. The speaker is loud and clear. Unfortunately, this radio has trouble pulling in weaker radio stations, ones that I can hear on my car radio. The instructions are in English and German and I highly recommend you read them as it is not entirely clear from just playing with the radio what some buttons do when they are short pressed vs long pressed. Tuning is digital and all controls are digital requiring button presses except the volume control knob. I actually prefer the analog volume control, it is easy and fast to change the volume. Changing to a particular radio station takes a lot longer unless you use the presets that result from scanning the band. Even then, you will have to cycle through every discovered preset until you get to the one you want. And some of the scanned presets are not the actual channel but nearby bleedover channels so if it doesn't sound excellent you need to check the next one or two presets to see if they are the actual channel which sounds great. There is a way to save a station to a preset if the scan didn't find it, but you cannot pick which preset number it is. The clock with alarm, which displays when the radio is off, is easy to set and is a nice feature on a handheld radio. Overall, I like this radio but I don't love it. For the price, I can live with it.
