This scratcher is not sharp enough for me and I don't think can be sharpened because it has what looks like plastic coating. It has rounded and fairly smooth teeth and doesn't get good coverage.
I'm wondering whether the reason it's so hard to find a good back scratcher, is because of liability issues or litigation from injuries. I bought a wonderful light bamboo scratcher at a travel store decades ago and still works great, stays sharp. I simply can't find anything similar ever since and would love to have extras around. Perhaps I can find some bamboo stock and build my own!
