Let me be clear. Con Air is, in all honesty, a pretty okay movie. However, it is one of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen.

Nicolas Cage never fails to amaze me. I grew up on National Treasure, and this definitely feels like a more adult version of it. Epic escapes, epic fight scenes, epic story. The only thing it's missing is the Declaration of Independence.

Cage plays Cameron Poe, a man sentenced to 10 years in prison after accidentally killing an intoxicated man who assaulted his wife. Eight years later, Poe is paroled and boards a flight to Alabama with other criminals who are the worst of the worst. Naturally, the convicts take over the plane and are heading for the border. You get to watch Poe use his wits and his strength to fight both ethical and physical battles to stay alive, all in hopes he'll get to make it home to see his wife and kids.

If you love Nicolas Cage, watch it. If you love action movies, watch it. If you're bored and have nothing to do, watch it. If you love really good movies, definitely consider watching (it's worth it).
