    The Headrest DVD Player by WONNIE, is a great addition to any road trip with its large screen and easy to use controls, this is a worthy consideration with both pros and cons. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – This feels and looks like a decent quality portable DVD player. The screen is better than the rest with older style clicky buttons and odd flip-up access to the DVD, but it still has a solid quality overall. I’d put it in the middle of the quality scale for portable DVD players.II. Performance – It actually works really well as a DVD player with solid performance only skipping a few times. The power cord is shorter the it should be, if you need to run it a long way, like maybe the 3rd row. The remote works well and is nice to have, but the buttons on the front are an older style clicky buttons rather then the more modern touch pad. I don’t like the flip open style of accessing the DVD’s, its worrisome when kids do it and could cause problems down the road. Also, it would be nice to be able to stream the data from my phone, like I can to my TV.Overall, despite my recommendations above, it’s still provided a very helpful and solid performing way to entertain the backseat while going down the road. Once you have the content going, that large and colorful 12in screen will capture anyone’s attention. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.If you’d find it helpful to see a visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video!You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.     When I first received this DVD player, I was very pleased with the size, appearance, and picture quality. However, my unit had an issue with the piece that closes over the dvd, so it wouldn’t play the dvd- it would stop every few minutes and say the cover was open. This company reached out to me based on my previous, and since deleted, review. They made good and I now have a unit that works wonderfully. I have never before received such stellar customer service. I highly recommend this DVD player and can say that if you order this product, you won’t be disappointed! (And if you are, just reach out to them for assistance, they are awesome!) :)

    I got this to be able to mirror my phone on a bigger screen. It's working well.

    I thought it was going to use an app called Miraplug, but it uses an app called Mirroring Tool instead. It actually prompts you to download it if you plug in the correct cord. This happens to be an Android phone, so I downloaded it from the Google Play store. I imagine it's on Apple iTunes as well, but can't say for sure.

    The key to mirroring your phone is getting the proper cable. As you might be able to find in the documentation and questions area, you need something called a three-in-one cord. I actually searched Amazon for Android mirror cable and that came up with the results that I needed. Here's the one I got that is working for me:

    You plug the USB C and into your phone, plug the HDMI into the screen, and then plug the USB A cord into either a power bank, the USB A port on the screen, or some kind of powered source. This USB powered source is the key. If you just tried to plug in a USB C to HDMI cord, it will not work.

    Once you plug this cord in correctly, it will prompt you to download the correct app. Make sure you handle the permissions in order to mirror your phone. The app will show you which ones need to be changed.

    Once I got the correct cord, it really only took me 5 minutes to get this thing up and going.

    Mirroring my phone, it showed it profile on the landscape screen of the tv. If you want to turn this TV sideways and see your phone that way, you'll want to toggle the profile switch on the app. You can't be in theater mode and if you want to be in profile, so switch it to something else, then you can switch it to profile. You'll see what I mean once you open the app.

    I haven't tried the other features of this since I got this for mirroring, but wanted to provide a detailed review on the mirroring aspect. I hope it was helpful.

    This is a great player. It has a car power cord and a house power cord. What I love most is the HDMI input. My kids can hook up their switch or their phones with an adapter. It's very versatile. So much more than just a dvd player.

    The bigger screen is wonderful. The picture is good and bright with good resolution. It has a remote but also on unit controls. We've has no issues with skipping, and it's being used in a big, old, pickup truck.
