I liked this bag so much I bought a second. It holds quite a bit, has a sturdy bottom that doesn't seem to absorb any water and works great for my 'go bag' on my boat. I packed it with all the essentials I need in an emergency like waterproof flashlight, flares, a few tools, change of clothes, rain jacket, survival gear and such. My second one I use a 'day bag' for towels, snacks and kids stuff. They are easy to carry on and off the boat and work much better than the reusable grocery bags we used before. The grocery bags are open and everything gets wet or worse fish blood all over your 5 year old's favorite Pokemon towel. If this Daiwa boat bag gets some fish blood on it, you can just rinse it off and everything inside stays protected.

I had a waterproof duffle bag of a different brand and the zipper broke very quickly but the Daiwa seems like it'll last a long time and super smooth. However, I think the compromise is it isn't 100% waterproof. Interestingly, the first day I had it on my boat we ran into a crazy rain storm on our way from offshore. It was like a monsoon, nearly hail and just dumped on us nonstop for 20 or so minutes. Was really miserable but everything in the Daiwa boat bag stayed dry. I was very happy and amazed. I don't think you can dunk it in water for a long period of time but water from above or splashing on the side seems to be fine.

My only complaint is maybe the price is a little high but not absurd for its high quality and the picture being wrong color wise (for me isn't a complaint as I like the color better). The actual color scheme I received is more light grey overall and the Daiwa logo is a light blue as of this writing which honestly I like better and was hoping it was such when I made the order anyway.
