This little stove has exceeded my expectations. I camp a lot and primitive camping is my preferred style, so I boil all of my cooking and drinking water as well as cook significantly sized meals for myself and my 2 youngest sons, so this stove has had dozens of fires in it, many of those fires burning for several hours at a time, and has held up extremely well. No modifications were needed to keep it assembled (which I’ve seen reviews on other stoves where this was a reoccurring complaint). Very well priced and very lightweight. Highly recommend!

I'll begin by saying I haven't used this yet but I've used many similar stoves. I have the stainless version and it is very wll made. No real sharp edges to cut yourself so the finishing is excellent. It's easy to assemble unless you are an idiot. The price is half or less than half of many stoves that are almost exactly the same. How could it be improved? Drill some holes in the side so rods could be put in to hold a trangia burner or a cup for solid fuel. The grill looks like it will be a pain to fit on the top once the stove has been used and the inevitable warping happens. It's such a tight fit that it will be hard to avoid. Or you could dremel the slots in the grill. I have a nice screen grill that sits on the top and will be perfect for cooking but it does not lock on top. This stove is a huge bargain. Grab one before the price goes up.

This is a great little stove. I was hesitant given the fact that it is a cheap Chinese manufactured product, so I figured what the heck I will buy it and beat on it to see if it survives and survive it has. I’ve had 10+ fires with this with each fire being 2 to 6 hours with no issues and I anticipate no issues in the future. Absolutely nothing wrong with the design or manufacturing, no sharp edges and pretty easy to put together. Cools down quickly too, a tiny bit of water and 5 to 10 mins it is cool to the touch.

Just understand that this is a stick stove, the fuel will burn quickly and with the holes in the base plate you won’t get much in the way of coals. The lack of coals and the small size means you have to adjust your approach a little, so make sure you keep feeding this thing. Personally I like a combination of sticks and wood that I have chopped down to 1” x 1” or smaller.

Can you cook on this….I think so. I boiled water within 5 minutes so I would imagine you could cook using the grill plate, haven’t tried it though. Definitely would give this a solid burn before you cook on it.

Get a bunch of material and your expectations in check for a tiny fire and you will love this thing. The fact that I rarely ever post reviews is testament to the fact that I absolutely recommend this product.

Overall, I enjoy this stove. I sometimes pack it with an alcohol burner to afford flexibility in cooking options.

It packs flat and definitely has some heft, so if you're an ultralight backpacker, consider a titanium version. Or different system.

It takes a little practice to put together, as it disassembles into multiple pieces (it is NOT a folding stove). But once together, it is pretty sturdy.

You can use these in "no-fire" zones of national parks when back country camping/backpacking. That's one reason to buy one. But there are a lot of similar looking stick stoves out there, and this is said to be one of the best in YouTube reviews. So how did it stack up in real world use?

Plus side
1. It stays together after assembly.
2. It does not warp.
3. It is properly ventilated to burn well.
4. It has a carry sleeve.
5. The edges of the metal plates are not sharp.
6. It takes a while to light and get going. And then after some solid burn, goes out if you aren't on top of the situation. If you jam a bunch of sticks wrapped in leaves in, it'll smoke and then relight after a few minutes.

Minus side
1. The assembly instructions are not good. You kind of have to "torque" it to put the front plate in place.
2. It is heavy, nearly a pound. Probably has to be though to stand up.
3. The grill is rather useless. Yes, you can slap on a piece of meat and put some bark on it. But since there is no way to regulate flame, there's no real way to grill with it. The flame is either full on or dying. No in-between.
4. The cross bars for pots are fine. You can also jam sticks down from up top to get it lit and let them burn down before the pot goes on.

This stove is good for heating up coffee/tea water and cooking pasta. I found that cooking any sort of multi course meal for two was a little much. You can do that with a gas powered always on, variable temperature stove, but between cooking meat, pasta, beverage, wash water and keeping it lit, this can turn a quick breakfast or dinner into a two-hour effort. Fun in the beginning, but then it gets old.

Plus, if that rock you're cooking on isn't perfectly wrong, it'll creep toward the edge with your pot on top as you push in sticks, and then suddenly...well, you can guess.

Received on time and is as I expected, pretty sure it'll be fine. Don't be misled by the 'titanium construction' line, I never expected it to be but it does seem to be some grade of stainless. Pretty happy with it. Would buy again.
