Perfect for my needs. I read how seem wasn’t long enough but problem solved when you turn crossways on 14gal trash bin. I followed instructions and allowed for 40min cool down periods when the red light came on. I took my time and filled 3ea 14gal trash bags. Although it states good for credit cards, you might need to reverse to run back through again. I had 3 gift cards and it struggled with the 3rd one, but I managed. I finished my shredding, let it cool off and placed back in its box to store until I need it again. Perfect for the random user.

It worked well enough at first and did the job. It didn't seem quite as nice as a similar one I bought 20 years ago, and worked for that long. I never overfed this one. Yet 4 months later it stopped; out of the blue. There wasn't a jam, I didn't put in too many sheets of paper, it just quit. It's too late to return. We'll see if the seller takes notice.

I bought this shredder as a replacement for my previous one. It’s very basic in terms of only shredding strips of paper; it doesn’t tear the paper into smaller units/bits like higher grade shredders. If you have thinner paper or receipts, it has a difficult time getting traction to shred, but it shreds through paper and card stock with more ease. If you’re looking for something that stores well and is less bulky this gets the job done, but you need to be patient and allow it time to cool off after about 10 shreds (10 pieces of paper). I like that it attached to a trash can that you already have vs. having a bulky bin.

Exactly what I wanted! The shredder doesn't take up any floor space because it fits in the back of my filling cabinet drawer.. I just pull it out when I need it and set it over my wastebasket. It's fast too!

The auto-feed is really handy. When I'm going through my mail I simply insert the leading edge of any paper and it goes to work while I get back to going through the mail.. Basically, you don't have to hold down the button while it shreds!

It works much better than the other small shredder we tried.. It hasn't jammed up once and I don't think it will - it is VERY powerful and seems VERY sturdy.. It's also got the right sized opening, so I don't have to fold paper or pre-rip it so it fits - it even costs less - I couldn't be happier!

Why aren't all shredders made like this?!

Don't buy this one. After a day and a half of mild-moderate use this product is overheating and not working. By mild to moderate use I mean that for majority of the day, the shredder is not being used. When we do shred there are usually quite a few documents to shred because we have an excess build up right now. When in use, the shredder overheats very quickly and gets clogged easily resulting in us having to wait 15-20 minutes before it cools down. The auto feed function has also stopped working. So the shredder has to be turned off manually when not in use.
