Easy install on my 2014 Acer laptop. With only 4 GB in the Acer, I should have made a RAM upgrade years ago, but thought other issues were to blame, until I recently read that years of Windows updates and web page bloat demand a minimum of 8 gigs. I still believe the sticks I got were defective, but I recently tried the sticks of RAM in my 2012 Unibody MacBook Pro, and it managed to boot with them. I then ran a memory test, but the sticks only passed when I booted into the tester using the "EFI Boot" option. My other old computers still crash with the sticks in, and the memory tester would crash on the Mac if i didn't boot into the "EFI Boot" option, except it would crash with graphical glitches on the screen, instead of just shutting down.
