I am Happy with this Custom Case.
I just got a hand-me-down Apple MacBook Air 11 Inch. My wife bought this long ago for travel but she hardly uses it. It just sat in a drawer. I have not seen it used for a long time. She recently took it out and I noticed that the protective case that was on it were in very bad shape. It was supposed to be a soft-touch plastic case. The outside is getting sticky and gross. She asked me to wipe it down with alcohol and see if I can remove the stickiness. It did not work. The case is still gross. She then decided she does not want that MacBook Air anymore. So, I got an extra MacBook. It is so old that the OS does not get updates from Apple any more. Nevertheless, it is still working. I could still do some email on it and surf the web. I normally use my MBP for email and my iPad Air for browsing. This MacBook Air could work as I don’t like to do email on my iPad Air due to lack of a keyboard. Yes, I could add a wireless keyboard to the iPad but that would be defecting the purpose of why I want an iPad. I do not want to add weight to the iPad.I have replaced a case of my MBP also due to this very same sticky case issue. I replaced it with a hard plastic one. So, I decided I should get a plastic case for this MacBook Air. My MBP used to have a custom sticker on the cover under a transparent case. However, Apple service people removed that when I took my MBP in for service. When I see this case could be customized with a photo, I want one.The ordering process is simple and easy. I just upload the picture when please the order and 17 days later, I received it.The case is very light weight and the bottom have 4 round pads. These pads are added on not molded on the case. Very nice in detail. The bottom case half is clear but frosted. The so-called vents are just slots as there is no matching vents at the bottom of my MacBook Air. None of the ports on the side are blocked by the case.The top case half has the photo that I uploaded. It is matt finished and photo is printed on nicely. I am happy with the result. If this case holds up well, I will be ordering similar cases for my new MacBooks. I like to have a customer designed case. I can spot it easily if someone decides to liberate it.
