About the Author
From an early age, Shia Woods enjoyed writing and became an avid reader of literature. Those passions prompted her to earn a degree in journalism. But after years of devouring every lesbian story she could find, what started as a desire to chase headlines diminished, and she decided to indulge her dream of writing her own stories of love, lust, and passion. When she’s not writing novels, Shia can be found posting amusing tweets while hanging out with her family and three high-maintenance chihuahuas in the Pacific Northwest. Follow her @FemmeyF

There are of course other complications. There are issues with the family business and her parents will. Annie’s family is involved in the business dealings as well. Also everyone is trying to get along as to not disrupt the countdown to the wedding. I like that there is time for dates, trysts and learning about each other so it doesn’t seem as surprising that they both feel a strong connection. It is told first person from Charlie’s POV but Annie shares enough of her feelings and background to get a good feel for her character. I thought it was left open ended as far as what the future would look like for the pair and what happens with her brother. I don’t know if that was intentional leaving it open for a sequel, or if it is to let the reader fill in the HEA. This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I will look for future works.
Wonderful to read this story in completion, congrats on publishing your deserving work.
I can’t wait for your other novels to be published and will be purchasing them as well.
I did find the whole Ian character a bit one dimensional and wish there were better, more fleshed out convos between him and his sisters, but whatever. He was definitely the villain.
One thing I wish this book had was an epilogue. It was kind of screaming for one — with Annie's art, Charlie's gallery, the company, Annie's parents...lots of hanging questions that would have been nice to see in like a years time.
