This sealant has been formulated to meet the stringent Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements and to provide a superior gasket maker that resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.     Used this on a 2009 Kia Spectra LX transmission oil pan (Dorman) and worked perfectly. Be sure to carefully clean and de-grease ALL mating surfaces. My pan was held on by 19 bolts, and as luck would have it, one of them had its head shear off during installation. But even with a missing bolt, this sealant had NO problem keeping all the transmission fluid in the pan where it belongs - I saw NO leakage whatsoever!
