I have been suffering from back pain for years and have a prescribed traction table to stretch out my spine. I bought this to having something simple to stretch out my back because the traction table is big, bulky, heavy, and a nuisance to get out and strap in. With the Solidback, I just simply put it on the floor and roll back onto it. Most importantly, I needed something for travel that I could just throw in my suitcase; and the size of the Solidback allows for that.
I have only had this for about a week, so I can't speak for long term use. I have used this everyday for about two minutes at a time since I got it. The first few days that I used the Solidback it did provide me with instant relief by relaxing the muscles; but I didn't get any pops or long term relief. Today, I got a few good pops when I used it and finally felt my spine shift a little and relieve pressure. It does provide relief. But just like my traction table, you need to use it consistently and things improve over time.
This thing is pretty hard. I know it looks spongy; but its not. Some may find it to be uncomfortable at first. I just put it on the floor and roll back onto it slowly and experience very little discomfort. Its a pretty simple design that seems to work so far. The build quality seems to be really good and I expect that it will last for a long time.
Considering the quality of the Solidback and the fact that it does what they advertised it to do; I think its a very good value for the price that I paid. Just know that when it comes to back pain and herniated disks there is no quick solution for it; it takes time to slowly get everything aligned...this product seems to help it along.

I have had lower back and lumbar issues for over a year as a result of sitting too much driving and at my desk. I have also failed to stretch properly and get enough exercise. I got to a point where I could not get comfortable in bed and was in discomfort almost every night. When I first bought this product and tried it, it was extremely painful because my back was in such bad shape. After 2 weeks my back is in better condition than it has been in years. If you have immediate pain you need to stick through it and stretch because the product does work in time once you loosen your muscles and relieve lower back issues. I have now bought a 2nd one for the office and it is extremely helpful behind you back when sitting as it keeps your posture. I couldn't be happier.

I was desperate and trying anything I could to fix my back issues and I won't bore you with all my aches and pains except to say that I have fibromyalgia and muscle and nerve problems and I had gotten down with my back and have been bedridden now for over 2 months in such severe pain that I couldn't walk or sit or lay without excruciating pain that would not ease up. It was laying 24-7 wishing you could die and not be able to.. so I started about a week ago doing acupuncture and the first session was my back and up to top of my head. I felt something major in my body from that one session and have now done that twice in one week. So I went online searching to see what I could find that could help my back so I could even walk again and at least take a little piece of some pain away. I found a couple things and decide to try this over the other item... I read all reviews and felt like this was it and it came very prompt.. I weigh 262 lbs and am 6 ft tall.. now because of having fake knees I can't lay down on the floor so I needed something that I could use in a bed or chair and like I say this was my fit.. I have not used it sitting but I have on my bed... It is hard for me to raise up to slide it under me and my husband has to assist right now. I also tried to lay it down and me try to lay back on top of it that way which is difficult also but the point is I laid on this the first time for 10 minutes and I could tell something was different ... I followed the instructions of 2 times/day for 10 minutes each and have now done this for 2 days and I am telling you I can now have less pain and move better in just 2 days than all the week's I have laid and went to doctors and had a toradol shot and steroids and muscle relaxer baclofen which I could not take because it really messed with me in a horrible way. I also started at the chiropractor doing the acupuncture which I know is helping so I will stay with that and this pillow.. I plan on doing this pillow treatment every day twice a day and even after this issue goes away or at least back to my normal pain, I am going to keep doing it to hopefully not have back pain period. It is getting easier to lay on each time as far as pressure on my back but it's hard for me to get it in the right spot but that's because of my pain load... I know it is doing what it says because I can feel it after I get done I lay there for a few minutes and get up and it feels better and I am able to stand up with less pain.. I know with more use I am gonna get through this mess... Highly recommend for anyone with serious debilitating pain and even if you don't have that kind of pain, it would be great to keep your back on track.
