Bad Design - But I Appreciate the Customer Service (UPDATE)
I don't post reviews for most of the things I buy, but this device is just this side of junk. I've had it for a few months and the flimsy plastic picture-framed shaped support that's used to prop the device up at a variety of angles broke in the middle already and now the power works only if the USB to USB cable is properly aligned with Jupiter and the Moon because the dumb USB port is on the back of the device rather than the side of the device. Just to be clear, I almost exclusively use this cooling pad when I'm sitting on the couch and I have a small pillow placed between it and my legs. Yes, I did try and glue it back together using some pretty powerful superglue to no avail.Also, since I'm going through the trouble of editing this, make the support tabs at the front of the pad wider.The manufacturer did reach out and offered me a full refund, which is most appreciated.

What a great combination with the Cooler Plate and 2 Vacuums. Laptop is 20 degrees Celsius cooler using them together.
