I can’t say enough about how great this twill Vera Bradley “small” bag is. I’ve always had the colorful medium to large size totes & was looking for something smaller & simpler this time. When I found this & did the measurements I was sold! The description you read is perfect to what you receive & I hope my pictures show or explain more. The material is a wonderful polyester inside & out. It wipes nicely if needed. The interior print is beautiful. It exceeded my expectations. The size for me was perfect & I had concerns but it fits everything so well. My calendar book even fits in nicely. I love how there are a total of 6 internal pockets-6! The outside shows the zipper but on top of that is also an open wider space to slide things. On the other side of the bag is a little hideaway open spot which is perfect for car keys. The straps are perfect for me to carry over my shoulder. I also love the zipper feature. The stitching was of VB true quality. There isn’t a flaw to the bag. I’ve had it over 4 months now & it again is VB durable. This bag shows longevity as all of my other VB bags have. The color gray is really exactly as shown. I couldn’t be happier with this bag. So many wonderful features & it sits up on its own!

This thing is perfection.
This is my first Vera Bradley and I went with the solid navy (I’m not a fan of quilted floral). I’m giddy with how perfect it is. I needed a new bag for field service and it’s the perfect size and so so functional. My magazines and tracts are kept in a leather folder and it fits perfect along with all my other essentials. My iPad mini (in a case) fits nicely in the front outside pocket making it very accessible. My house-to-house record holder fits perfectly in the inside slip pockets. Also my oversized wallet, makeup, keys, hairbrush, and gum all have homes in the other pockets. My iPhone 14 pro max with case fits perfect in the hidden top pocket. Everything has a place.It’s like this bag was made for me. The fabric is wonderful and feels lush yet durable. I love the color so much that I went ahead and purchased a purse in the same navy twill. Im hoping I’ll love it just as much as this tote bag.

The bag is a good size, with a GREAT length of drop on the shoulder straps (so difficult to find a bag with long straps!). The interior has six open pockets (three on each long side) of two different sizes. All are decently sized and about 4” deep - I use mine to hold a big tube of hand cream, pens, a coin purse, snacks etc.
I was disappointed to find there was no interior zipped pocket, like most bags have. However, the bag does have a neat secret open pocket at the top on the non-show side, which is quite large and will hold your keys for easy grabbing. There is no closure on this pocket (a magnetic snap would have been nice), but the pocket is pretty deep and I’ve not had anything fall out.
The interior fabric is not to my personal taste, but it’s not visible from outside, and a patterned interior does make it easier to see what is inside.
I have owned this bag for about two weeks of daily use, and have two issues to report. I have difficulty keeping both straps n my shoulder - one tends to fall down if I am not using my hand to hold them both. The second issue is on the exterior. The bag has mild padding (for the quilting), and I am finding the padding is starting to work its way out through the stitching, and around the whole bag, not just in places of friction. It’s purely aesthetics, but gives the bag a ratty look.
Personally I would have also appreciated a pair of D-rings, as the bag is a nice size that it could be worn cross-body as well.
