I got this to replace the remote for my Sony. The remote paired with the tv easily and has all the functions of my old remote, except the "previous" channel jump doesn't work. I used that function quite a lot, so I'll miss it. The ergonomics of the remote are bad. It's hard to hold because of the shape and all the weight is at one end. The remote just isn't easy to use with one hand. The top half of the remote is very thin and actually flexes when the buttons are pressed which can't be good for the circuit board inside. The remote doesn't sit flat on a table, the top points down, so there's no way to use it while it's sitting on a table. It has to be picked up to use it.

One button may control 3- 5 differing tasks

Initially I bought the 2 pack because my children loses everything they touch. But my husband decided he needed a remote on his side of the bed (as if he has rights to control the tv lmao, not when my shows are on sir!). But after programming the second remote to our Fire Tv in the bedroom, we realized that remote won’t turn on or turn off the tv, only navigates it. So now he nags at me to turn the tv on when I’m clearly browsing through tik tok watching people do the same exact dance as everyone else, like come on people, be original. I find it toxic that it annoys me so much yet I spend every day watching it. I need therapy. Anyways. The remote doesn’t turn fire TVs on or off. That is all.

This is the biggest piece of trash money can buy. Do you like pressing buttons multiple times? Buttons that work 30% of the time? A bunch of buttons that are designed for a 1997 VCR? If you exist from this century and have a smart TV, steer very clear from this piece of garbage, spend your money on some wet socks instead, they will be more useful that this remote.
