Installed this last weekend in a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT with Monsoon without OnStar. Install was easy but time consuming. Here is a list of what I bought:-Scosche Automotive Wire Harness -1988-up GM Micro/Delco Antenna Adapter This was important because of the limited space on the back of the stereo.-Esky High Definition Color Wide Viewing Angle Universal Waterproof Car Rear View License Plate Backup Camera with 7 Infrared Night Vision LEDs-iMBAPrice® Right Angle Gold RCA Adapter Female to Male - 10 Pack These are important because of the limited space on the back of the stereo.-Mediabridge ULTRA Series Subwoofer Cable (25 Feet) - Dual Shielded with Gold Plated RCA to RCA Connectors - Black-BOSS Audio KIT10 4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit-Mediabridge 3.5mm Male to 2-Male RCA Adapter (6 Feet) - Step Down Design-Metra 95-3302 General Motors DDIN 2004 and UP Dash kitIts important to get the Right Angle RCA adapters and the antenna adapter. There was very limited space behind the stereo! After pulling all the wires and disassembling the dash the rest of the installation was easy. I had to run an extra wire form the fusebox in the center console to get the RUN(+12V) signal to the stereo.The SWC wires were Blue and Green but I couldn't get them to work. A meter showed the changes in resistance between the two when different buttons were pressed. I ran a few extra wires to them and tucked them under the carpet so I can work on them later without taking the dash apart.I am not sure if my car had factory wiring in it or not but I used my meter a lot to figure out what each wire did. I also clipped one wire at a time to see what turned off. For my car the wire colors were:Pink = Needs +12V to turn on the Monsoon amp. Hook this to your Blue Power Antenna wire.Speaker wires = Don't remember off the top of my head Ill look it up and post them later. I just clipped them one at a time to see which one turned off, then used a meter to check the polarityRed (Thick wire) = Constant +12V connect to the Yellow WireBlack (Thick wire) = Ground or -12VGreen Twisted with Blue = Steering Wheel Controls SWCWhite w/blk stripe = ? DICOrange = ? DICGreen = ? DICNew wire from Reverse light +12V = Signal for Back up camNew wire from RUN fuse 2A +12V = Signals Stereo to turn onPros:-Bluetooth works well-Super cheap-Sound quality is acceptable-Love the wide range the SUB volume hasCons:-It's probably because I have a Monsoon amp but I get a static sound when no music is playing. Even when not charging my phone. When using Bluetooth or aux in.-The buttons are not very responsive. It takes a good couple of seconds to a react when changing menus or using Bluetooth track buttons.-Album art and song info is not displayed when using Pandora or other music streaming software.-The volume is for the Backup cam has its own setting. It should have be a percentage of whatever the current volume level is. Not a set level. This is annoying because if my Bluetooth is being used the volume is usually set to about 13. But when radio is used the volume is set to 4. and my backup cam was set to 7. So when I shift into reverse and am playing the radio the volume jumps up way loud. I ended up just setting it to 0. This probably wont be a problem if you don't have all your speakers hooked to monsoon amp. Come to think of it I probably should have used the pre-amp outputs.-The wallpaper options kinda suck.
