This is a fantastic shredder. So, even though a lot of communication has gone electronic these days, if you have been around for a while, you likely have a significant number of printed older documents that have some form of PII (Personally Identifiable Information) like SSN, bank account, financial, medical and other types of info you don't dare to simply toss out, as-is. In comes a shredder.
We used to have a decent shredder that worked for a while and then gave up the ghost; started by losing "steam" and then became too burdensome to deal with many jams, etc. The old one was also a cumbersome design where the top (shredding) part had to be removed to empty it.
In comes this new shredder. It is a well build unit; the weight and sturdiness of it are evident right out of the box. The design make sense where the bin to empty the unit slides out, which is much easier to deal with. The unit has wheels which really make it easy to maneuver; e.g., for a large shredding session can move it in front of a chair, etc. for convenience. This shredder performs a cross-cutting pattern leaving the shredded pieces very small; this is way more secure than other ones (like our old shredder) that do a single cut, leaving long strips. As you can see from the first attached picture the pieces are cross cut and really small. I tested the 9-sheet claim of this unit and am pleased to report that shredding 9 sheets together went effortlessly. This shredder is also quiet when operating; my comparison is our old shredder which was rather noisy. This one is nice and smooth and quiet.
If you need a good shredder that will get the job done and is well built and quiet, you can't go wrong with this one. I would not hesitate to use it in an office environment; it is well built to withstand more rigorous use. For the home office, it is a fantastic shredder and a great value. Now, I can finally get to the bins of old docs that need to be shredded before disposal (as I mentioned, our old shredder gave up). This new shredder will get a good workout and earn its keep, so to speak. Highly recommended A+++++

An efficient shredder that gets the job done smoothly.

I'm impressed with this powerful shredder. It effortlessly handles more paper at once compared to my previous one—up to 6 or 7 sheets, and it seems capable of handling 10. Even staples don't pose a problem, as it shreds without jamming. The overheating function gives me peace of mind when I have a ton of shredding to do after about 10 minutes of shredding it auto shuts-off, perfect for larger tasks. The basket, had side handles and wheels, makes it easy to lift, pull, and move around.
