Two other pencils that advertised wireless charging wouldn’t charge on my Zagg keyboard cover (They worked when directly connected to the IPad). This pencil charges perfectly. And when I remove it from the IPad, it turns on automatically. Worth ten stars.

Tilt is usable but again nit a lot of experience/need to use it.

After a few weeks with this pencil, I've noticed that it disconnects *A LOT*. For example, the pencil will randomly disconnect and a few seconds later it will reconnect. Despite the pencil being FULLY CHARGED, it continued to go through this cycle of disconnecting/reconnecting several times over the span of ten minutes and frustrated me to the point of just putting the pencil away in a drawer. I don't know if I was given a faulty product or not, but there are other reviewers who had experienced the same thing as me... BUYER BEWARE!

I recently upgraded my iPad and I needed a new pencil to use for drawing and note taking. I really didn’t want to spend $$$ on an Apple Pencil when there are several alternatives out on the market. I settled with purchasing this pencil/stylus and bought it while it was on sale!

It works great with GoodNotes! As for drawing, pressure sensitivity isn’t supported on Procreate. Also, this pencil has the tendency to disconnect while in use, even though it is fully charged. I end up just sticking it to the side of my iPad until the lights come on (showing all three, fully charged). Not sure if others have come across this issue.

Aside from those two points, it’s not *that* much of a hinderance that makes me want to rate it lower than 4 stars. Not bad for being a fraction of the cost of an Apple Pencil.

From the outset I want to say that I am an avid Apple fan and love the products and how they seamlessly work together. I state this as I am going to make a bold statement about this ESR Pencil in that I actually prefer it over Apple’s own Apple Pencil. I know this is a bold statement but let me tell you why. So far Apple Pencil has been the only choice really if you wanted a seamless and trouble free setup and interaction. The ESR pencil does the same and then some.

The ESR Pencil comes in a little box with 2 replacement pencil nibs and a replacement capacitive tip as well as a charger for those people whose iPad does not support wireless charger. The pencil lies comfortably in your hand and, just like an Apple Pencil, connects seamlessly to your iPad by just connecting it to your magnetic charge port alongside your iPad (For those iPads that have this). You have three little light dots that show the charge state of the pencil.

So once you have connected it to your iPad you can use it straight away and it works just like an Apple Pencil. The only difference as far as I work out is that it doesn’t support double tab to change between writing and erasing but this is a small sacrifice to make. The pencil works without lag and as opposed to the Apple Pencil the capacitive tip at the back of the pencil allows you to control your touchscreen as if you were using your finger which I found very delightful and super useful. Having used this for a few days I have to admit that this is something I would miss and now that I have it would not want to be without. I have an Apple Pencil 2 but actually enjoy using this one more and would say that this will now become my main driver moving forward.

Looking at the specifications this pencil offers 10hrs of use with a 1,5hr Charging time and as it charges wirelessly whilst magnetically connected to your iPad you won’t run out of charge easily.

In Summary: This is a fantastic accessory that in most ways is better (in my opinion) than the Apple Pencil and let’s not forget that this pencil costs a lot less than the original. I have to admit that I am very impressed with this product and can only recommend it to anyone who would like to have a superbly made but reasonably priced apple accessory to compliment their Apple device.

From the outset I want to say that I am an avid Apple fan and love the products and how they seamlessly work together. I state this as I am going to make a bold statement about this ESR Pencil in that I actually prefer it over Apple’s own Apple Pencil. I know this is a bold statement but let me tell you why. So far Apple Pencil has been the only choice really if you wanted a seamless and trouble free setup and interaction. The ESR pencil does the same and then some.

The ESR Pencil comes in a little box with 2 replacement pencil nibs and a replacement capacitive tip as well as a charger for those people whose iPad does not support wireless charger. I love the feeling of this pencil, it feel please pretty close to the real pencil. It fits perfectly with my ipad, great assembly work, good weight and work well. I use it for drawings and writing some notes and I am quite surprise that this pen works just like apple pencil. If you bored about the official one, I think you may try to use this.

I purchased this pencil as a much more affordable replacement for my Apple Pencil. The first one seemed to have an issue staying connected and it would stop writing every few seconds. However, I contacted esr customer service through the Amazon links provided and they were extremely fast and easy to deal with. They confirmed the issue and had me double check a couple possible causes but then very promptly offered me a refund or replacement. They confirmed that if the replacement had any problem they’d still be there to help. My replacement worked perfectly! I am very happy with this purchase and impressed by the customer service!
