I researched several systems before purchasing. I hesitated purchasing because of the negative reviews. I had no problems connection the system with the App. I operate the system through my iPhone or Alexa, both work great. I use Wi-Fi. I have very large outdoor entertainment area, so I use a Wi-Fi booster system to enhance the Wi-Fi signal throughout the entire backyard. I play Amazon prime music stations and any of the other music Medias for endless music. I coupled amplifier with the Bose outdoor speakers.
I had 4 outdoor speakers, but returned 2 of the speaker because the system was to loud when cranked with the 4 speakers, my property is 3 acres. I put the SA-5 in the television cabinet. Super easy to connect and install. I would think the indoor speakers would the same or easier to install. I had the Sono indoor speakers, but returned
The entire system is always ready to go, with wi-fi booster there is never any down time, it is always up and available.
The price is high like most Bose products. When you look at the small amount of electronic components that's inside the unit the price seems steep. Should it be lower? Maybe. But with today's technology, most system don't need a lot of electronic components to have great performance.

flaky software, extremely poor support, not worth it
I have used this amp for 5 years now and other soundtouch line products. I can say that the whole line is very buggy and poorly implemented. The app will not find amp at times. Once the amp is found, it works ok. Sound quality is ok, nothing special. My 15 year old onkyo sounds better and more powerful.Recently bose added support for airplay2 for this amp. That doesn’t work. Saw on some forums that you need to pay $50 to get wifi hardware fixed. Note, this is no where stated on their website though after talking to one of the many bose support person confirmed old hardware doesn’t have airplay support even though claim it on the website. Since, I tried everything from reset to reconfigure and then eventually decided to send in to repair center to get airplay.Worst mistake. Paid $50 and it’s been 2 months sitting with them. I hear different stories from different agent every week. Support of Bose is pretty horrible. They change stories every week. First one told me it is fixed, they have probably forgotten to ship it back for a month. Next week, i heard that it is not fixed since the wifi module is not available due to COVID. Last week, I heard part is now available and please call back in a week, and we should have it shipped by next week. Today, sorry part is not shipped yet. You talk to different person everytime and support/service center has like a week delay in communication. No one wants to be accountable, I asked to speak to a manager, and the person said managers are not available due to COVID-19.
