Mirror Functions Well for our ClubCar - good bargain
This 5 panel rear view mirror worked well on our ClubCar golf cart. My 14 year old son started driving the cart around our neighborhood and I wanted a mirror to allow him to see a car approaching him from behind.The mirror provides a good view of all areas behind the cart. The multiple mirror design concerned me at first, but when you are sitting in the cart and looking up at the mirror you really do not even notice that the mirror is constructed of 5 individual panels. The view is nearly seamless.The construction is plastic with glass mirrors glued in place. The hardware kit worked fine for our cart.The first one of these I received arrived with a cracked mirror. Amazon was great (as usual) about sending me a replacement before I could even get the old one boxed up and shipped back to them. (Prime is fast!)There are two screws (1 one either side) that mounts the mirror to the brackets and allows for a pivot adjustment. 1 screw has to be installed, the other is molded into the housing. The molded screw on both units that I received was partially covered with molten plastic and had to be removed before the nut would tighten down all the way. This is a manufacturing quality issue and I guess understandable considering the price and country of origin. I cut around the screw shank with a utility knife, grabbed the plastic with a pair of pliers and twisted it right off without too much trouble. Without doing this, the mirror will not tighten down properly. 4 stars for having to do this, otherwise it is a fine product for less than $20.
