I was happy to receive this, especially since it has a timer. Today is day 2 and like a real child the little snowman took off, literally!!! Very disappointed!! I can’t even use it at this point, there is vibration sounds going on, snow isn’t swirling around. What now????!!!

I ordered two of these after Christmas for use next season. The first one I opened made me quickly realize how glad I was to have bought them. It was very carefully packaged and once we put batteries in it, it came to life. The snow globe effect is so beautiful in these things. It just keeps going and looks like a perfect little glittery snowstorm in there. It lights up very nicely and makes it very easy to see the snowmen and snow. Another big bonus is that it is not loud when running. It has an "old" or vintage look which makes it look so nice no matter where you place it.

The second lantern did not work when we opened it, so I immediately contacted customer service. After giving them a few details they requested, a replacement was quickly shipped to my home. I tested it out and it works perfectly. It's great to see such great customer service back up a very nice product. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants a beautiful Christmas decoration.

Update: I took off a couple stars. While I still love the way this item looks, it just goes through batteries so quickly. The timer shuts off after 6 hours, which is a good thing or I would be changing batteries every other day. I get full strength for maybe 8 - 10 hours after putting in new high quality batteries (3 of them). Shortly after that, the light dims quickly and movement of glitter inside slows way down. I went through a whole package of batteries in December. I found myself regularly using a different similar item that plugs in rather than this one because I got tired of constantly putting in new batteries.

I absolutely love, love, love this lantern! Photos just can't do it justice. Really beautiful with the glittery snow constantly swirling around the perfectly lit snowmen and Christmas trees inside the lantern. Reminds me of a snow globe, but so much better. Looks great on a shelf next to my 18" Christmas tree - adds a touch of elegance and just the right amount of light to my other decorations.
