This product was really easy to use, low cost and did a nice job. As they mention in the instructions you are using at your own risk with rings with set stones. I was able to use a head gun on the ring and then give it a few taps. This was all that was required to fix some rings that were just a bit too tight. This is a tool for slight adjustments. you wont me making a complete size adjustment like from a 6 to a 7 here with this. But I got quotes for $60-$90 at jewelers to do the same thing this did for just the cost of the tool.

I tried this device and it broke my ring. I'm very surprised that the ring broke because it is soft gold and I tried to stretch it slowly. (it came without any instructions) This may be why it is tagged as a high return item. I probably should have returned it but will keep it and try in on some of my wife's cheap rings that she would like to stretch.

It does what it’s supposed to do-but you need to use a lubricant. I used machine oil. (Sewing machine oil-but any oil should work). I still had to put it in a vice to tap the rod out. Bottom line-it works. But if you don’t use the oil, you’ll want to pull your hair out.

Took a ring that was delicate, and made it round again. I was worried that the method using a tapered rod would damage the ring, so I gave this device a chance. Using a light mallet with gentle taps very gently brought the ring back into it's natural shape. Very pleased. Good machining, you can feel the CNC grooves in the rod.
