Keep plants well-watered during the growing season, especially during dry spells. Plants need about 1-2 inches of rain per week during the growing season. Use a rain gauge to check to see if you need to add water. It's best to water with a drip or trickle system that delivers water at low pressure at the soil level. If you water with overhead sprinklers, water early in the day so the foliage has time to dry off before evening, to minimize disease problems. Keep the soil moist but not saturated.

Great Germination

Great Germination
These seeds have a great germination rate. I planted these seeds, 2 to a container, and I will have to say I had 100 % germination rate. i ended up cutting off 1 plant in every container because of both seeds germinated. In most cases, I plant 2 seeds to most containers in case only 1 comes up. Some would say that's a waste of seeds, but I don't. There was supposed to be 35 seeds in the packet, I didn't count them, but I don't need 35 tomatoe plants. I plant 16 plants every year, mostly celebrity, and have great luck with them. I used these same seeds last year, had the same results, great germination, and a big harvest of nice size tomatoes. In the picture there are a few pepper plants as well. Yes, I do recommend these seeds.

I've grown this kind before. They make fruit that is bigger than a cherry tomato but rather small. However, they are sweet and prolific and go all season long. I had nearly 100% germination on these seeds. Started Feb 27 in the greenhouse here in Calif. (today is April 26). They are now outside and already have flowers. This is one of the earliest tomato varieties around.

I purchased these during the second week of February. Now two months later I have a bunch of beautiful and healthy tomato plants. The first blossoms have appeared. These bush (determinate) varieties are perfect for our small backyard veg garden. They are a little more costly, but the quality of the seeds is worth the money.

All the seeds germinated. I always plant two seeds per container to make sure I get enough plants. I can't seem to waste any plants so they all got transplanted . I now have several to pass on to my friends. The plants are eight inches tall and look really sturdy and healthy. Looking forward to twist these tomatoes!

Grew great, beautiful tomatoes, but tasted worse than storebought. I had a slug problem last year, but they didn't bother these at all. Couldn't get enough of any other variety, but they left these well alone.

I purchased these seeds as an experiment to see if I can grow tomatoes indoors. I planted them in good organic potting soil and they sprouted within 1 week. I had about 20 seedlings which I thinned as they grew larger. I have three plants now, approx 12 inches tall which I transplanted into a large pot. They have sturdy stems and continue to grow in my 4 season room. We should be eating tomatoes by late May!

I made a mistake in purchasing these super expensive seeds. Of the 25 I have planted none were able to shed their seed coats after germination. They germinate then die.
