Update: I called the phone number that was supplied with the camera for customer service and spoke to a very nice lady named Dawn. She fast tracked the RMA process for me and I should have a replacement by next week. I am still not sure how I feel about the camera and will reserve any opinion until this plays out and I have used the new one for awhile. However I will say that I am VERY impressed with Kodaks customer support. By the time I was off the phone with Dawn I already had an email from her with the RMA form and a label to print out at no cost to me. That's impressive.
I would add that Dawn told me that this camera does not usually like the Ultra SD cards. Mine worked fine during the time the camera functioned. So just a word of warning and information for anyone contemplating purchasing this camera.

Superconsigliata!
