How to use The Tick Twister


Step 1 Choose the most suitable hook according to the size of the tick	Step 2 Engage the hook by approaching the tick from the side until it is held.	Step 3 Lift the hook very lightly and turn it. The tick detaches by itself after 2 or 3 rotations.	It's That Easy! Removes the tick in a few seconds without pain!

Why Use The Tick Twister

The tick’s rostrum, also referred to as the tick’s head, is covered with backward pointing spikes that allow the tick to “anchor” in the skin. By pulling up on the tick, the spikes will rise and lock the head in the skin. The tick may break leaving body parts resting in the skin and causing a painful inflammation, or an infection.

By twisting, the spikes bend into the axis of rotation, and the tick is easily removed decreasing the risks of breaking the tick.

Beware of other tick removal tools that advertise pulling, lifting or jerking the tick. This motion can cause mouthpieces of the tick to be left embedded in the skin.

We’ve been using these tick twisters for years. Every time we lose them, we come back for more. Lol. We have to get better at keeping them in a safe place and easy to find because they are small. They work perfectly and get ticks out every time (and without pulling their head off of their bodies). We have gifted these and recommended them to so many people over time. Definitely worth it.

These are the best invention since the toaster. We live in an area where there is a high tick population. My husband is constantly finding them after being out in the woods on himself and the dog. I ordered these online never thinking that they could possibly be as good as they are. That just goes to show you that something this simple can really be the perfect tool. They are made of plastic and when you find a tick instead of trying to pull it out with tweezers or anything else you just flatten out the skin around the tick push the flat side of the remover on your skin with its head facing forward in the tool, push under the tick until it is secured and then twist until you hear a pop and out comes that tick caught in the device head and all. We have used this around our dogs eyes and on every part of the body. Since purchasing I have purchased a back up pair for us plus a pair for many members of my family and the neighbors who couldn't believe how well it worked. This is one of those times when you just have to believe someone created a simple, inexpensive tool, that actually does exactly what it is supposed to do. We are have probably removed 50 or more ticks with this already and have never had it not do it's job of getting the tick off with it's head on, alive, in all it's nastiness. These are now a necessity to have in our house and our car for whenever we are out and about in the woods or a Garden. What a great tool!

I had to remove a ton of ticks at one time since my little buddy decided to run about in the woods when all the bugs were coming back to life. These tools were amazing at removing the ticks without much fuss! Just remember to pull hard once you hook their heads, otherwise you might cause a bit of pain to your animal. Also be sure to keep a cup of water, rubbing alcohol on hand to drop the ticks into! Don't want them getting loose in your home!!!

a few months ago my puppy got her first tic. Alter unsuccessfully trying to pull it out, we went to the vet. we had to get her tested for lyme and other tick diseases because of the way we tried to remove it. Vet bills and tests costs totalled over $500. Vet recommended we get the tick twister. Ginger is a tick magnet. I've pulled a few off her that were not attached but last night she had one under her collar. Several twists and that sucker was out, squished and in the trash with no change of regurgitation (which is where the diseases come from). No trip to the vet and little chance of tick borne illnesses.
If you have pets - get this!!!

Being so small they can be hard to find in a bag, or just get lost. I drilled a hole in the handle of mine so It can attach to a cord around my neck, along with with my whistle.
