The EZ Ultra condensing tankless water heater is the most versatile water heater we build. With the ability to vent using 2" Sch. 40 PVC, this unit can be installed anywhere with an adequate air supply. The PVC piping and condensation trap allows for vertical venting, horizontal venting, or diagonal venting, just keep the overall length less than 30ft.

Great. Even incredible... sort of
I purchased this item in 2019. And up until, about 6 months ago, I would have said it's the best purchase I've ever made on amazon. The positives are the heaters absolutely awesome, it Heats fast and well, and it's miserly with its use of propane. Shockingly so!The negative is is that after 4 years (3 years of actual use) now we are getting a persistent error 32 code during showers and the heat cuts off. We originally reached out to support, who asked us to dismantle it and take some photographs which we did though it took us some time to get to the water heater where it is. Since then no response. I was surprised to find rust in the unit after such short period of time as well and given it's in a totally dry area.We have found that by shutting the water off in the middle of the shower, for about a 30 seconds, then back on we can get additional heat for a while and it doesn't happen every time. So we're still using it for the moment. But we've got to find an alternative.For the price maybe it's worth having to go out every few years. I would have expected it to last longer though.

To be 100% upfront I did not buy this product but I really wanted to.
I did all the research and the features looked so good and so did the fact this is a American company. so I downloaded the manual from there web site and that's were a lot became glaringly obvious.
1: This unit displays only in Celsius (parts made over sea's and assembled here)
2: If you install this yourself you've voided your warranty.... Unless your state certified and if your buying this from Amazon chances are good you are not. The Picture is from the manuel avaliable on there web site.
Rinnai honors there warranty for self installers if they are done correctly and that's why they will get my money
