Definitely NOT 750ML

Definitely NOT 750ML
Just arrived, so I wanted to take a quick look at some of the concerns that people had. There are definitely graduation marks inside the container though they are very faint to see in normal light. The lid does not fit tightly and is extremely loose. The bail is in the correct location and can be easily removed for storage. Yes, that makes a difference for the type of container I wish to use with it. Ask for being a 750 ml container, that is absolutely false. As you can see from the pictures I am adding I only put 700 ml into the cup and it was as full as one can safely use. On the plus side it is very light. In the correct shape. All pieces are functional, however I wonder how long the lid tab will hold out. It is very flimsy. Another plus is that it dries extremely quickly. The water you see in the picture was poured out, and the container was immediately dry. No droplets at all. I found that kind of cool. Overall I think this will be just fine for hiking and or bushcrafting.

I like the weight and size. I fit my fuel and stove inside to maximize space. The handle is very useful when heating water over the campfire. The metal cools quickly since its titanium. I used the carry pouch as a mit but Im not sure if its made to that; so, do it at your own risk. Also, not sure how long the pouch will hold up as the stitches seem a little loose near the opening, but mine has held up so far. I would absolutely buy this again.

Ok, I originally put two stars on this pot because the bail was located in the wrong place so it made actually drinking from the cup very difficult. However, I contacted TOAKS and got an immediate response, less than 12 hours. They asked for me to send a picture because according to them they fixed that issue with a new version of the pot in April, but apparently someone still has some of the old pots in stock. The pot itself and the bail idea is AWESOME! I love TOAKS gear and have a bunch of their stuff...this bail thing was annoying but will not impact my purchase of other gear. I do, however, have a note for everyone that not every picture can be believed. I will add that if you are buying from TOAKS, the customer service response is great. I will see how this goes, since this all went down last night, and will post updates if it goes either well or poorly.

As for the pot...Great, well made, very light and comes with a bail. Why a bail you ask? I am using this to make a survival kit. Not a "prepper" survival kit for the Zombie Apocalypse, but a "get stuck in the woods overnight while hiking or hunting" kind of survival kit. I have shelter, foil bivy, fire starters, sewing kit, tea/soup, compass, light, etc. All stored in this little cup. With a knife (never go in the woods without one) you can build a fire, setup up your shelter, and hang this little pot over the fire for some tea and soup (one at a time of course). Elk hunting in the canyons of the Wallowas in Oregon, it's not unheard of to spend a night down in a canyon. It's nice to have something small and light to carry with you. It makes the uncomfortable slightly less so. One thing, the pot lid isn't tight, not necessary, but with the handy little stuff sack, everything stays in place.

I would have given this well made utensil five stars except for something I would not have even known about except for the fact that I also own the 450ml titanium cup from this same manufacturer. The cup, which is almost half the size of this pot, has handles made of wire almost twice as thick as on this much larger utensil. They look really strange next to each other, with thicker wire handles on the smaller cup and downright scrawny wire handles on the larger pot. To be fair, I have had no problem with the smaller dia handles bending or otherwise proving to be too weak to hold when the pot is full. They appear to be adequate to the task. They just don't look right. Other than that, I have nothing but praise for the 750ml pot. I used to use my steel canteen cup on all my wildlands trips, but the lack of a good lid and, to some extent, it's weight, has caused me to look elsewhere. The 450ml cup and this 750ml pot are the perfect combo for me, Lightweight and strong campfire resistant Titanium construction plus having two containers instead of one canteen cup are a big step up for me. I like the well designed lidlifter ring that stays either lying down or standing up, as you wish. The lid keeps out flying ash/debris and does not vibrate during a rolling boil. The bail is large enough to easily pick up from the coals with a stick and the vent holes tell me when the boiling has started. Scrubbing the tarlike smoke condensate off is easy and no damage to the dull gray surface of the pot is evident even after using a steel wool scrubpad with abrasive cleanser. Eventually, I'll get used to the thinner handles because this is a well built and very useful cooking utensil. I plan to still be using this pot twenty or thirty years from now.

I got one of the TOAKS Titanium cookpots without a bail, so I had to order this one too - need a bail to hang over fire, though I have placed other pots in fire with no real issues. Very happy with this / Bail version - wish the lid had a bit more of a friction fit, but that also allows easier checking with a hot pot, so kind of a wash on that! Great product!

I've been backpacking for a while, and this has been my favorite pot (I've tried many!) I love how lightweight but sturdy it is. The pouch that's included is nice to keep the pot contained & also functions as an "oven mitt" when handling the hot pot.

Excellent little pot. This pot is extremely lightweight weight and the perfect size for individual meals/hot drinks. I was on the fence about the size prior to ordering I thought 750ml would be too large, as it arrived I instantly felt like it might be too small. I decided to give it a try and take it out and prep a meal in it, perfect size.
