About this item

  • SUN SOIL & CLIMATE REQUIREMENTS: Best in full sun and well-draining fertile soil.
  • WHEN & HOW TO PLANT: At any time of the year. Soak the seeds in warm water overnight, and push the seeds into the peat moss. Remain in the refrigerator for three months. Remove the seed and sprinkle a one-eighth-inch layer of sand over the seed and moisten it. Place a heat mat in an area that receives bright indirect sunlight. Set the heat mat’s thermostat to 71 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • COLOR & CHARACTERISTICS: Dwarf weeping cherry trees are small flowering trees in the genus Prunus. The blossoming deciduous trees have a droopy growth habit due to their soft, flexible branches. These arching branches cascade down the sides of the tree, giving the small cherry blossom trees a weeping look.
  • GERMINATION & BLOOM: The weeping cherry tree seeds will germinate within four months to one year. Bloom time: Late March and early April.
  • PLANTING SUGGESTIONS: Ensure that you allow room for their umbrella-like drooping canopies to get enough air circulation between the foliage.
