    Affordable for a small home theater!

    These are great for a small home theater setup. These are NOT great if you plan on turning your receiver volume way up in a big room because, depending on your receiver manufacturer, the speakers cannot handle loud volumes and your receiver may trip and shut the speakers down to protect them from blowing. I installed these in the main living room, but can only turn the volume up so high (and it's a big room), but they are good nevertheless. Great speakers!

    Second set

    I already had a set of these, and the first set is REALLY nice, so bought these for my home theater in the basement. Haven’t listened to the new ones, but they are the exact speakers. I don’t have the Polk subwoofer in my original set, so I don’t know how it is though. I use a really nice HW7000D Samsung 3d Blu-ray receiver to power the originals and they sound incredible. Very crisp and when watching the right blu-ray, like Star Wars, the ships sound like they are flying behind you. All movies and TV sound good. Music, such as Black Sabbath and old Van Halen sound great as well. Even my wife’s new country/pop/whatever sounds great. The price makes them well worth it. Set them up with the correct wiring and equipment and you won’t be disappointed.

    Pioneer Elite receiver 5.1 surround sound is a great buy.

    It has very good sound and if you buy it on sale it makes the buy that much better. Matching with the receiver the 5.1 speaker system give beautiful sounds, good quality buy.

    Polk TL 1600 speakers, WOW

    Teamed up the Polk TL1600 with the Denon AVR-S540 receiver. The Denon sets up the speakers from the listeners location in the sound field. Sound is so so with standard TV, but with good quality music or 5.1 movie. The Polks come alive and are sweet !!! I can’t say enough about the powered sub. It makes the system work so nice
