Noticeable visual improvement over the standard composite cable hookup! One minor flaw is the connection into the game system is much looser and easily can be dislodged compared to the OEM connection. Still worth the upgrade IMHO

Good cable
You get what you see, it is a good quality S-Video Cable for SNES/N64/GC. I do however have to say that there is a checkerboard effect (for me at least). The shipping was very fast, it only came 1 day after the earliest estimate date.. but that's probably because I'm located in Canada aswell haha. If you are thinking about buying or have bought this, be careful with the S-Video cable. I had a hard time putting it in my TV because the pins can easily break (as reported by one of my friends who has purchased this very item). Overall, good item. Very strange cable. Seems to work fine with SNES (at close inspection image isn't completely stationary), but in N64 situations the colors are muddy and less vibrant. At times there is a flickering black image and no color. Happens at random intervals so trying to show someone can be difficult. Have not tested it with Gamecube. This cord has tons of potential but seems to have some problems. Stock N64 composite cable has this majorly outclassed.Very strange cable. decent quality for N64, not recommended for SNES
I bought this for use with my Nintendo 64 and SNES. For the N64, it was fine, good quality picture and actually uses the S-Video pins on the Multi AV Out unlike a lot of other S-Video cables. For my SNES, I got diagonal lines across the picture when I used it, which I didn't get on the composite cables or the existing s-video i had bought this to replace. Looking up the issue, the problem is a lack of shielding and caused by interference and crosstalk. Something to keep in mind if you purchase.I bought this for use with my Nintendo 64 and SNES. A fantastic product with tiny issues.
The cables are cheap, work fantastically well, and will improve your gaming experience by a large margin. The only issue I have see with them are very slight visual artifacts for the first 3-5 minutes after powering the system on. They disappear completely after that, so maybe it is a problem with my system and not the cables.

Best off the peg cable for CRT use.
This cable works beautifully on CRT (tubed) televisions and monitors, great colour saturation and pixel definition. Works pretty good on SD LCD TVs, mixed results on larger HD LCD sets - but that's a signal issue, not a problem with the cable.
