As Far As I Can Tell...
As far as I can tell, this is a decent DVD player. It does indeed play all regions of DVDs and has good picture quality. The only weirdness I found with the player is that the picture was square and didn't fill the entire TV screen but I resolved this by pressing the RESOLUTION button on the remote and HARK! The picture was full screen. Other than that little oddity, the player is easy to use, very compact, and so far, so good. The DVD drawer seems to be a bit on the fragile side but if used with care, there should be no drawer casualties. nice player
The only thing I dislike is that you have to hold the remote just inches away from the player in order to start playing. After that, it works from farther away just fine, including pause, and then play. I bought two of these, and both players do this, and both remotes do this. It's not a big problem, not a deal breaker. It's a fine dvd player, otherwise.
