I don't watch TV much but I do enjoy watching a movie now and then so I stream TV online for free. My router is in my office in another building so the signal is weak in the house causing some interruptions in the TV signal. Buying a new Netgear Tri Band router helped but still had the interruptions. This Netgear Tri Band booster ended that completely. I liked the idea of a tri band because the signal on one band can fade but the Nightgear booster constantly monitors three bands to find the strongest signal and goes to that one without me even noticing it happening. The added bonus is I can now use my laptop online all over the house.

I own two of these, the second purchased as the company advertises that the extenders can link to each other thus increasing the range of the wifi signal. I have found this to be untrue. The second extender always wants to connect with the router. In terms of coverage, the product performs marginally. We have a two-story house, not large in size, but there are still dead spots to this wifi system even 15-20 feet away. I do not recommend this product on a cost/performance basis.

I really wasn't sure what to expect from the home Nighthawk mesh repeater system. My ISP Router is effectively at one end of my house. There is a second Netgear Access Point in the middle of my house. It solved several other issues but it has to reside on it's own unique subnet to avoid colliding with the main ISP Router subnet Adding the Nighthawk mesh router at the opposite end of my house from the ISP Router solved many issues. It is on the same subnet as the ISP Router. Setup was very easy and quick. And I am getting great signal strength from the Nighthawk (EX7700). Enough signal strength that I believe I will have an internet connection in one of my out buildings. I ran a signal/site survey in the out building and got good signal strength. I just haven't had time to connect anything yet. The Mesh network is my secure network and the network in the middle of my house is open... not secure. But I only allow internet access on that subnet. No connections to any other devices. It solves the ipad, cell phone, internet issue. Bottom lineis I am pleased with the performance of the Mesh Router.Read full review

I have an office not far for my house that is where my office computer is. I have a lap top in my house and I would always be having problems with the connection to the internet on it. I did have an extender to use in the house but I still had trouble connecting to the web. So when I saw a person in the reviews that he had an office and he had then same problems as I did. I ordered this one and I am glad I did. I have no more problems connecting to the internet.

Great product; works exactly as it’s supposed to; WiFi boosted through out my home and outside. Was tricky to set up but well worth the time spent figuring it out. I think the instructions are lacking but Netgear gave me a complimentary first time set up. Couldn’t be happier with results!
